Clones not rooting

how close are your cfls?
within 12" is a big NO-NO..

other than that just refresh water at the same temperature constantly at least 1x a day and you'll have roots or root bumps in 2-3 weeks.
with an oxygenated system you can get clones in as little as 5-8 days with no hormones just clean water.

too much light wont allow the plants to develop root growth when you are cloning

want to make sure u aren't overlooking something simple.
Lights are about 2 foot away, never changed the water yet either

so that will work for weeed huh?

exactly how do I do this cuz im taking cuts tomorrow. plastic cup glass cup how much water where do I put the cup etc .clear cup put duct tape so light doesnt hit the stem ?? Room temp is about 70 here.
I've cloned weed in a glass of water on a window sill so many times I lost track.
In a clear glass of water in a window with tap, 400 ppm water high in calcium and high ph or a mix of ro, they always root. I can go much longer than 2 days without changing water. A couple of drops of H2O2 will help keep the water clear.
I've flowered 20" plants in water in a window.

Cannabis is no different than most other plants with woody stems.

“Cup of Water
I put 3 to 4 cuts in a clear cup with pH balanced water and a small fan near them in a room or cabinet that won’t get colder than 60 degrees F. The fan helps with airflow/exchange, plants don’t thrive with stale air. Colder temps slow down plant processes and that includes root growth, 75-80 degrees is perfect. I don’t use a “clone dome” because if my temps are under control I won’t worry about the humidity. I’ll keep them under a 2ft T5 fluorescent light that will be about 8-10 inches away from the top of the of the clones and change the water every two days. In about 2-3 weeks I’ll start to see root growth and I’ll transplant them a week later.”

well ill put a cut or two in a clearish glass and put it on the table in the kitchen but it wont get any direct light and it is getting dark earlier so it is like its in the flower cycle so I dont know what will happen. Not going to put a light on it in the kitchen.

What I do is mist them a couple times a day for the 1st week to keep them happy until roots show up. No dome.
They may stay small without any direct light but I would think they should still show roots in 10 to 14 days. Strain might play a roll, some strains root easier than others.
I do the same with many plants. Christmas Cactus is another easy one to root in water.

Had clones in a bubble cloner for a week and they ain’t showing any roots, using bottle water @ 20c, half are in the water and half just above, 18/6 cfl light, Wilson root stimulator, anyone have any suggestions?
Usually about 10 days for roots to show give or take, shouldn't be in the water at all, it's actually areoponics where the spray/mist keeps the propergator nice wet and humid, cuttings need it to be really humid to be able to grow heads up though LEARN TO HAVE PATIENCE OR YOU MIGHT ASWELL GIVE UP THE GROWING GAME NOW HAHA

Winner...
Agreed :-) Patience is the secret to cuttings

I can put 16 cuttings of the same plant in my EZcloner and half will show roots in 1 week. Some take 2 weeks. Some longer. All good.

Tap water, not heated, not PH'd, not refreshed.

Cheap 45 watt Ebay LED for it, kept up high, and lowered as they develop roots. This light is solely for cuttings. It's shit and weak, and for that I love it for cuttings.

I've been cloning for about 2 years and I am super lazy when I do it. I've only ever lost 2 cuttings (made about 120 clones, perhaps more).

I:
- ph my water to 6.0(doin it right)
- don't add anything but tap water(lazy)
- never change the water(lazy)
- use a shop light from Home Depot ($40) about 18"-20" away(cheap)
- fish bubbler to ensure bubbles are popping across the entire water surface(doin it right)
- leave it and don't even think to look at them for 2 weeks(lazy)

Usually by 2 weeks I got a few roots jetting out and the entire stem that is inside the cloner has little white root buds forming.

Give it 3-4 weeks (I change the water sometimes) and my entire res is full of roots.

Don't rush it, don't over do shit, they will root.
She left it in a dark ice tea glass on the kitchen counter. She even had it on top of the fridge. It didn’t care.
Do you know how we all got here?
Because we have been there and done that
Just stop messing with them ...THEY HATE IT

Had that issue with my clones turns out it was the cloning gel clogging up the roots. Did it without the gel they all rooted. Ditch the gel. You can tank me later noob bongsmilie btw need ph meter.
