I know, but I still find it hilarious these “NOOBS” cuz there the perfect definition of one, there’s like 2 of em out of the 4/5 That argue with me that literally don’t know SHIT to do with growing weed at all cuz they saying there’s no scientific evidence that a wicked wet/dry cycle will maximize trichome production near the end when anybody that been growing weed for as long as me, 10-15+ years, they know I’m correct and they know I’m right about the cloning topic how sometimes u get cuts that lose vigor previous cuts had due to lack of proper care, genes etc.. I may not be the best at explaining my “bro science” they call it.. but it’s legit knowledge I been using more and more each and every grow (and I’ve been around long enough I been around a few ops lol ) I figured out most of the things I know through trial and error too and why would I do something if it makes my plants go backwards? We’re living in a new gen where I’m totally spoiled and all I will smoke nowadays is fuel smelling gassy cookie crosses..I used to sell 1-3 pounds of dro weeklyto a guy upriver between 2012 an 2016 who was busted in the late 2000s he had a hydro op in a big barn. Had plants 8-10 feet tall like 8-10 feet wide, we used to sit and converse about that and just growing weed sometimes for an hour before he would go home with his load of stuff.. I’m what u would consider an ‘obsessed grower’ that has to have everything dialed in hence u read my pages back when I first started my plants in this tent? It’s my first actual climate controlled grow I pretty well knew everything I was asking on here too but I just love to come on here and load up on old knowledge, just to make sure I have a flawless run, this run I had an excess of calmag for 1 day every other day out of the 80 so far my plants were fully healthy no flush of growth and praying all day! the problem is ppl will tell u bullshit just to watch u fail and it makes them happy for sum reason and they wanna feel like they a ‘big dog’ , me I live my life the honest way. I will never have to worry about one thing. I ever say on here cuz I know when they pull it up on me tmrw I can back up what I previously stated.. I am no liar lil boys but I can guarantee u my weed is up there in the “top shelf” section, since 2011-2013 I been pulling solid harvests off and if u guys actually seen the stuff I produce u would consider using my tactics.. whatever I’ve been doing ima keep doing that with minor tweaks here n there, I don’t need to change too much though considering my weed is sum of the best I’ve ever seen period, the NB cannabis store doesn’t compare to the stuff I can grow. Mainly due to the drying process mine comes out extremely gummy an whatnot, unlike the governments they always over dry theirs and it jus doesn’t have that kick like mine does.. my shit will make ur eyes go beet red off of only a few puffs so

He’s just stuck on repeat dude. I said it 20 pages ago, his brain is straight fried. He clearly is stuck living in a rap song being the most OG of them all, even if he isn’t capable of maintaining healthy plants and not degrade them over time.

That is what this all started about clones, and Canadiantoker couldn’t handle being wrong. When he got set straight about the bullshit he was spouting he melted down. It wasn’t about watering cycles or how much bud was sold when you were a kid.

I accepted a while ago this guy was probably mentally challenged and or at least poorly educated from the way he types and acts.......

I've seen testings come back between 17 and 27%. It was all in who grew it too....

Certain genetics are bound to push it out (not saying it’s not your techniques/growing skill that contributed) wish I could get something good off this iPad with the two 600s beaming. When I open the tent Gotta move back a bit to get a clear shot on the bud size. I can simply tell u rn tho I have an 8ball over on the left that went thru issues a long time ago as I don’t have a ph pen nothing like that and I didn’t even ph my water til after day 20 something in veg.. it is what it is this run I topped em few times n expected this crazy stretch on the 60/40s that didn’t happen only went 1/3 of veg height as usual. Stacked on quick (as usual) also the lights are giving off as though my leaves are yellow when there not

Well ok u can get past that point it’s possible. it’s more I said that because the kid was like oh my shit is 29% when in reality it most likely was fudged to add a few more % . I wasn’t saying weed can’t be that high in %. It’s just who it’s done by and u know exactly what I’m talking about....
 
And before the negative feedback hits I’d love to say I found a couple pheno’s that may be keepable out of this run we will hafto see.. and the tent won’t b that empty ever again, got monster cropt clones stepping up in the fall ima clone off my nicest plants outside, an maybe spare sum space for a few eleven roses seedlings since I have the 3pack fem jus sitting here.

I didn’t grow the stripper spit I baught it, I was just claiming I don’t smoke an post mids on snap chat or IG like buddy was trying to say. I don’t have any of that shit I live in the sticks. I use internet once in a wile an I’m stayed logged in on here cuz sum of this shits hilarious
 
Jesus I’m actually interested in this thread and had to skip to the end. The term that (AFAIK — I skipped a bunch) has not been posted here yet is senescence. My background is in growing mushrooms and this is a very real issue with mushroom isolates. Senescence is just the scientific term for age related decay. With mushroom cultures, they can be stored for a long time on slants, where the culture takes over the nutrient medium, stops growing, and is then refrigerated. Here’s a pic of my mushroom cultures on agar slants, many of them single strain isolates or clones of in vitro fruit bodies. As you can see from the label, these cultures are over 2 years old. If I were to pour a batch of plates and take some transfers, the plates would grow vigorously and I would then be able to rapidly and exponentially expand the culture on grain spawn. One of these slants could be grown into pounds of shrooms.

So, with mushrooms, senescence is caused by too many cell divisions, which manifests in the culture’s failure to form mushrooms. A senescent mushroom culture will colonize a substrate but either not fruit at all or form fucked up, deformed mushrooms. This is what happens when you run a mushroom clone for too long, but I have no reason to believe this happens with cannabis because its biology is vastly different from mushrooms.

In my own limited cannabis experience, I’ve got one cut that I’ve done multiple generations of clones with, and after a year she hasn’t lost any vigor. I realize that this isn’t a sufficient amount of time to be able to tell. I’m only posting in here because I’ve heard and read conflicting accounts of the role senescence plays in cannabis, and I would like to know definitely how long you can keep a cut without noticeable vigor loss.

My questions all pertain to the age of the cut, and therefore the age of the original plant that was grown from seed, rather than anything to do with how many times removed a given cut is from the original plant.

The short answer- Indefinitely in healthy growing conditions. There are healthy genetics that are decades old.

The longer answer was totally spelled out within the first 3-5 pages if you do go back for more info.
