I want to know when using a humidity Dome for your cuttings ,do you leave the dome on till you have roots or just the first few days or so ,and also what temp do you keep them at.

Personally, I leave the dome on until I see roots. I make sure to get fresh air in there a few times a day when I spray them. I usually keep a heating mat under clones to. Don't know temps though

For the first three days leave your dome on opening once a day to let some fresh air in. Around three days in crack your vents. At around a week you should be able to remove your dome for a few hours at a time. 10-14 days you should be able to remove it altogether.

A lot of this has to do with how strong your clones are. Stronger stems can take lower humidity. Weaker stems need higher humidity longer.

The key to cloning is to have thicker stems with tight nodes. The more nodes you can get beneath your media the better. I shoot for a min. of two. 3-4 preferable.

hope this helps

You will know, if the leaves start wilting or drooping you need to put the dome back on. I usually leave it on for 5-7 days while opening it 2 times a day to let fresh air in and to mist the dome. Only time i spray a clone directly is if its wilting while the hood is off.
