Chopped em down today

I harvested my 2 plants today. While cutting them down I noticed a strong bitter bug spray smell mixed with over ripened tomato smell... is this normal? Also what is the best way to quick dry a couple buds for testing?

buds should smell of cannabis and nothing else, but Lycopene is an organic compound classified as a tetraterpene and a carotene. terpines can come out very strong with certain plants, it could be that your smelling, but im a tad worried about the bug spray smell

No never used any type of bug repellent.

Do you mean ammonia smell ?

Cuz if you do , that might be some mold.
Some of those tops look kind of sus.
( brown ones )

No not ammonia at all. It's a weird bitter chemical smell.

Did you flush? Did you use organic nutrients or synthetic nutrients during your grow?

I get where you might smell tomato stem, the plants are kind of related.

I didn't flush but I only used ph'd water the last 12 days. I used general hydroponics flora series nutes.

I agree with budzbuddha some of those tops look suspicious. I would ccheck those tops with the dead yellow leaves just to make sure

You could have bud rot.

Look for mould/bud rot where the dead yellow leaves go into your buds right next to the stalk

99.9% sure it's bud rot.
I would remove all those brown affected buds ASAP.

More pics. It still has a bitter smell today but kinda more like a bitter grapefruit smell. I cracked open one of the browner looking buds to get some pics.

This strain is a hybrid of diesel and something else so maybe it's supposed to have this sour bitter smell..
