Choosing a rosin press

I just bought a bunch of new credit card like cards can those be used for static tech? Shoot I didnt think there was so much to learn about the simple trichome and how to best extract what you want.

Like why is the head membrane ok but not the stalc, is the head membrane still an impurity but uts ok because the cream if the crop is right inside?

So to some extent there will be some impurities? Or is there a solvantless basic way to have JUST the oil inside? I thought that is what I am doing.

My trim tray is 150u. Hmm that doesnt sound very fine.

Read the whole thing I dont get why you sift 160 to 70 then 70 to 45 and separate the hash but highly suggested to mix it back. So youre just getting rid of stalcs and mixing small/medium heads with large heads?

So if I were to do that and press that… What would it be free of exactly compared to pressing the 150 or 160 micron instead? Is the initial purer? But of what?

I do notice my second pass sift pressed is not as yielding and pure. What micron can straight up plant debree be? Can it be micro? Oh so the extra sifting will also remove anything below 45u…

I need more info still have questions unless overthinking it.

13.6% off 5.7gs to .77gs rosin. Kongs krush. It was hand trimmed though so I think it yields closer to the same as my watermelon ultra which yields more flower though.

Interesting, was rambling earlier about the rings around the puck.. Thought I was just imagining stuff talkin crazy but nah. I left it on the press for 10 sec not adding more pressure, still under 45 sec. Was just done early and the ring is larger .

So its a certain flow to it when applying pressure I thought I was noticing maybe it does.

My recent speculation theres nothing behind it so the rings a good to a degree, more can be pushed out but its minimal. Pulls more junk with it. Not too large or maybe pressing too fast. Got to be something to them and more to it than that but ya.

Haha. I guess you dont really need a bag? Nah chottle still makes sense. It would be pretty bad on a pound or two scale. Plus with the way I do things sleeves only cost like $12 a pound and half maybe 15$ two pounds if recall correctly.

Got a nice dab out of it. Very chocolaty, gorilla cookies auto. Was such a good dabber when I pressed most of it a while back.

Amherst sour diesle and chocolate mint og canucks grow said yields like 24% the ASD he didnt say but said its the most ever yielded in flower rosin. So above 25% ? Oh he says it earlier I just heard him say 26%.

Mentions wheres my bike strain yielding 26% bubble man results. May get that too.


I didnt look the strains up jeez I suck at homework. Humbolt is a good company I heard lots of good about. I may buy both of these and let my mini tent shine.

Right now Im just in a hurry to get yield and may skip the mini tent to get the best test run possible.

Although I got the same rosin results from less light on these clones I worry it will not grow the same and demonstrate the same hash yield. This harvest will tell.

Or I can take more risks and grow the whole garden porto leche instead of slowly integrating verifying what I have how it does.

Got lots of thinking to do.

This is crazy, looking all over calender plotting harvest dates I should be able to stay consuming my own rather I choose to run WU or porto leche.

Hows that possible if Im about to take down half of it and lose 4wks worth of flower production.. And setup upgraded tent and continue just barely where Id run out of rosin.

Only to have for sure sustained harvest if not greater moving from that point in November. I thought I was gonna have to spend 300 to vape store bought for a month or more.

Idk how that happened other than I cut back about half gram a day.

Can you not grow outdoors where your at? Reading some of your post I was gonna say you would love getting Into pressing bubble but it wouldn't be the same experience if you had only Indoor yields, Its not hard to toss a few pounds in when you get like 2-3 off each plant easily outside.

I cant, Im in the city but ever since hearing that I wish I could aside from potentially getting high yields. I guess flower rosin makes most sense for me which Im happy with.

40oz is the most I can yield with my latest goal and trying to have like 2g a day worth of rosin.

I remember watching a guy using baking paper and a dvd box and collecting static under microscope it was all white

That link I shared about dry sifting was saying something about using screens to seperate two kinds of heads. It recommends mixing the two for flavor since all the fine heads from static lacks flavor so it said to mix it.

Its interesting because I dont find a need to make my drysift rosin any better but I could try it.

130w and 65w nugs from fecida.

Mars Hydro TS1000 baby! Clear winner. Second round and theyre growing the same, these are better than the fecidas. I actually ran this 3 times if to count from seed. All clones of the same plant.

Thats awesome what you can learn growing clones side by side like a controlled experiment often valid.

Whats crazy is it felt forever to harvest and dab my own and couldnt wait. Now that I am and Im half way to harvest it just feels unreal. But if I have none of my own and waiting and have to wait again itd feel like forever.

2.5 months to flower and 2.5 months to clone/veg so could be waiting almost half a year to harvest.

It felt like it would go fast but about to be set behind 4 wks and still good to go? Thats just weird. I guess that half g a day cutting back is why.

Last I checked recently I went from 1.44gs to 1.16 and been happy each day. I felt the cut back at first but this aint bad considering its about to blow up soon.

I just wont stop till that budget is gone and can dab all I can like a all you can dab buffet. I used to love those kinda of resturaunts.

Wow now that I look at the 130w fecida I had it dimmed half way last time so Im just now noticing its more fruitful this time.

I didnt realize you can make nugs grow extra pistols and girth etc with pruning/defol and brighter lighting. Also manipulate finish time. With the same setup as last round.

Anyway idk what Id do with one fecida light and 2x2 itll still yield like crap. I have a fecida 3x3 light that did make huge colas but it molded and havent really had much experience with it.

Then im only using 65w which is insane but ya.

Ahhh what do I dooo?! Keep the ultra till I at least verify the porto leche dont need to cure? The kongs krush needed a two week cure or else the rosin was very green tasting.

Thats also if I get the right pheno that yields at least 20%. Should I just keep my .1 dab every hr or half dab every half hr for a while and run the leche for ages before I run it full scale?

Or I can roll the dice and grow a big plant leche and get .2 gs an hr or .1 half hr or half dab every 15mins. Thatd be livin the dream like asap in 4 months vs a year almost.

Itd roll in slowly being that tents are perpetuating at different schedules itd take too much production time to correct. So its like March that I live the dream as soon as.

Only to potentially have to harvest tents at different times for whatever reason, its not hard for it to happen. Its already amazing they finished as is. It only happens when everythings perfect.

I love my Watermelon Ultra it takes care of me good. I just got to the sweet spot working with them. Maybe I can do both, use my 5x5 for WU and my new 3x3 flower tent for the leche.

I sure as hell will run something in the mini tent probably banana candy krush.
