Choosing a rosin press

Oof never seen dating ads in place of grow ads. I know those can be put there though. Anyone else see it?

11gs more sift to 1.6gs rosin and .15 gs re press. 15%. Not that happy with it for couple reasons. Yield and plant matter. I think because I got all the good stuff first pass and then second pass is all small heads/empty stalcs that are harder to knock off.

So it was mostly those thats why yield so low? Then its not the purest taste but I dabbed the re press.

My theory is I also knock more plant matter which gets into the yield. Isnt it that way with bubble too? If you wash too hard? And with less filtered batches? Or separated batches where one is washed again? Idk.

Yup looks like we got a new advertiser. Nice to see branching out of our advertisers, pique's my interest. Now if my favorite clothing vendors would start supporting us I'd never have to leave this site

“a perfect cure every time” method. It cannot be too wet to dab or else what else is there to save it? Can water evap out the rosin? Anyway that method helps with this.

I did 6 days last time but today would be 5 days. So far its showing ready no spike whatsoever.

I was told there are terps in trich heads which makes sense. Without a freeze dryer your essentially almost getting same results as washing/air drying, no?

6 days vs a couple months night and day difference. What about air dried bubble for 3-5 days? This stuff is my cherry on top of the harvest. I cant believe I just now knew what to do with trim. To think people throw it away is crazy.

Im doing 2nd passes now too getting extra rosin but not as good but rosin is rosin. Im getting such good yields its adding to my budget allowing for more daily use.

Is it enough plant matter in 2nd pass sift that it could upset your stomach if you found that to be the cause? Its got to be good for something, edibles? Im getting rediculous sift yields.

The bud trimmer surely is shaking lots of heads off making a super trich rich trim. So far its also making the best edibles Ive ever made for myself.

Jeez. Lovin this strain how I can low ball it and it actually gives back close to what I estimate, a little more but was expecting it based on my first run.

For a newbie like me to do that is cool. I seen lots of weed growing up and eye balled a lot so Im kinda talented at it. Was estimating 4oz. Its 6.

Just need to see what it sifts and presses and go from there. Cant get excited yet.

If goes anything like last time Im gonna have a lot more rosin than I thought and its coming from a source I thought wouldnt yield nowhere near this much. Im expecting it now and thats bad lol.

I did learn alot from my 2nd pass. Learned a lot about hash rosin just going through that but now I know that sift/rosin wont be much. Might be better off savoring it some other way, 11 gs is a lot.

One last thing, so dry sift rosin really paved the way for hash rosin and live hash rosin. Its still really really good though, dispensaries would typically sell sift for 10/g to 30/g and these kinds of rosins for 60-80/g.

16gs sift one g more than I expected lol.

6gs flat. 37.5% return from 16gs sift. Not counting the quarter gram re press. So its better this time and still have 3oz coming which will probably be half of this considering the plants average as clones.

This strains drysift and flower rosin is gonna be hard to say farewell too. I took for granted the taste and potency. It almost has it all in one package. Ill probably always keep this around.

I was feening to dab it again as it grew especially properly made and Im just in watermelon ultra heaven right now.

Before I forget. Why does some kief just sit on top of the screen sifting? Like no matter what I do they wont go through the screen. Are the heads too big? Is it long stalcs?

Screen isnt clogged. I really dont know. Its like a quarter gram. I dont want to get impurities in it which is right around the time its due to stop.

Heck yea put a clamp cfl light overhead its so well lit. No more cellphone light.

Here we go 6.5 oz just under maybe. 9 presses 2-3 hrs. Not gonna be bad and I know exactly what to do. I read to do 45sec instead of 1.5min so I still may of been cooking it up.

The last batch is still turning lighter in color and its not sticking to glass. Its crumbly and caramel like.

Re read my sources and also read I could of pressed waaay lighter too might help blow outs. Or flip outs. Woops set off spam filter.

Anyways its gonna be twice as good because its 45 sec. Its already much blonder. Still blowing or flipping out at 4.8 tons which is like 600psi. Same yield quantity though.

All done. 3 more oz coming so like 7 more gs coming. 11.45% of 180gs it was just under 6.5 oz by like a gram or two. Im getting too lazy to keep track. So yea its typically between 11-13%.

At this rate almost there Im at 65gs and hace 13gs topbquality hash and 1.5gs resift rosin and might get 1.5 more. So 90gs. I think my quota was 24oz and 90gs rosin. Its about 23 and 90.

So I fold paper, cut 4 sleeves less than an inch thick. Eye balling gets easier with time. It all does overall. Swipe each cut side to remove any loose nylon that will end up in rosin. If it does be vigilant and remove during collection.

Some wont hurt, there will be plant bits and foreign bits working with so much all day. Keep it moving, a job complete is better than not.

So mentioning because its relevant with chottle. Even with bags doing everything super clean you got lipids fats waxes all kinds of junk in final product. I have yet to have a dab sesh ruined over it.

It hit me that you dab at lower temps its really like vaping weed and when its mostly vaped it has that taste to it. This is a lot like that. It would just vape and taste similar to what flower rosin already tastes like aside from all its pleasentness.

Anyway. I flip all inside out then weigh 5gs, pack premold and step on it. Yes step on it. Who cares its flower rosin. Pull out a tiny bit of the puck its easier to get the sleeve on. It should be much smaller in diameter than sleeve.

As it expands immediately it helps keep from doing so before sleeve gets on. Pinch the bag/puck and pull down. The sleeve should pop right over the puck. I pinch again and twist/yank it off the pre mold.

The premold gets sticky and may snag a chunk of the puck apart thats why. With heavy use and some smearing/rubbing against the other side of pre press mold where weed also gets stuck, helps keep it a less sticky surface.

Before I know it Im doing all this in seconds. Stepping on the mold helps keep puck within same girth of sleeve, by time Im doing the 4th one its only slightly larger. Thats fine.

I spread out my fingers and lace 2 pucks at a time between fingers and place on press. Less back and forth. Apply pressure youll see the over sized pucks go back to size and get sealed off by the plates.

Collect will vary in consistansy but my shattery play dough like rosin I found last second its way faster to just collect off the palm of hand. It warms it back up minimizing shatter.

It helps get off paper pressing it onto a big ball on dab tool of rosin. I would get each batch into the sylicone (glass is final resting place, sylicone just helps with process and weighing) and take minutes to get the last bit off my dab tool.

Instead now I just do like 3-4 batches at a time filling up sylicone about 20-21gs fills it up. THEN clean dab tool of last bit. I use the sylicone and lid to pinch off the 5-10g ball off the tool and scrape the last bit in.

So thats how I go through about a pound and a half. My previous ways were too expensive in bags. My sleeve still has more left for a lot of presses and it was only like 20$ a roll.

Yea they shed nylon idk how normal that is but if you cut anybag twice I suppose that can happen. Its cost effective and its loaded with junk anyway like mentioned.

Not worth the tediousness. Its a job needs get done. The sleeve just holds as much back as it can. At first I was weary about the process with sleeves but this was super fast and easy.

7g pucks smash too wide fall out the press and blow out like crazy. So this is the fastest I can go. Idk about pillow tech. Id consider it if it can do more than 20gs at once.

1.8gs from 8.2gs sift from 2.5oz trim. 22% idk why though. Pressed day 5 from harvest. Dryer conditions but I dont think thats why. I did get a .3 gs repress so 2.1gs. I dont count it though its not as good.

Jar is 35gs. Yea I pressed 1 min instead of 1.5mins idk if thats why. Or if too much sift in bag.

Sniff sniff! It smells like candy dare I say watermelon?! I dont freakin know buts this is new. Its a candy of a nice kind. Not the popular. Yea no not watermelon sniff sniff. Oof just sweet idk.

Cutting back my senses are getting better I get wiffs of weed. Think to myself like damn, I made that?!

My roomates smelled it they dont smoke anything so theyre nose is clean. Said just very citrusy for sure. Thats all.

I just know some of the wording to use from experience. I have people that never taste the orange, lemon, cherry, peanutbutter, nothing. All weed is just weed.

9.3 gs re sift. 2nd pass of 8oz trim. Is this food grade? I had bad stomach burns from too much plant matter. Is this clean enough?

Otherwise Im looking at an hr to get 1.2gs of low grade hash rosin. If I even get that. It wouldnt harm me to dab it though.

20% of 9.2 gs into 1.8gs resift rosin. Repress got .25gs. I experimented higher temps 190F and indeed got more yield this time.

Thats good considering its lower quality although dabbing the repress of resift is impressive taste wise. Idk why it was raunchy a little last time aside from being resift. More contaminants.
