chooseing lights hps or hid

im new to indoor growing i have been looking around at lights. this is the one that i think will work for me. i can only spend about 150........ will this be worth my time???

That price doesn't include a bulb, which normally run in the $80 range.

what light would you recamend thats ready to use for 150 or less

Maybe if its at all possible try to allocate alil more bread and lock down a good 600 hps/mh from a reputable dealer hydrofarm, sunsystems for me have been BEASTMODE and excellent gear! I would also mention that at times you can find decent older gear used pretty cheap. If your willing you prob could find a magnetic ballast hid system alil cheaper. If you wanted to you could always grab a decent t-5(with bulbs included) while your saving for a good hid system, cause t-5's will do cannabis justice. true story!

The grow store down the street from me sells 1000w HPS/MH set up for $159.

1000w ballast, econ wing, and HPS bulb.

Maybe call around to grow stores and let them know your looking for a light and would like to know if they have any package deals.

as of right now im useing a 15w led and two 18'' t8s.. will the t5s be better?

Yes T5-HO's are better. They give more light than T8's

Check on eBay they have good deals for mh/hps combo & t5 fixtures
