im the shit with this.
first and foremost it sounds gross but i go on thursday and get the discount family packs of meat.
so last time i ended up with
15 boneless skinless breast chicken for 5$
15 steaks for 7$
ect ect. theyre not gone bad its just regulatory on shelf life for a gercory store they cant keep it any longer. since theres 2 of us at my house i then put two pieces of each into a ziploc bag. and i have a LOt of meat for little.
as for cheap meals...
breakfast
2 piece toast, spread butter ontop and sprinkle cinnamon now you have cinnamon toast (kids love that shit)
lunch/dinner
I like to do
(single serving) 1/2 can of tuna, sprinkle lemon juice (fresh or bottle) ontop sprinkle pepper, a pita and salad
or
Sunni's ramen noodles
cook ramen noodles,
in wok, cook broccoli, carrots, onions , ect (anything you think would taste good)
cook until tender (usually about 10-15 mins)
throw in ramen, some soya sauce and youve got a filling meal.
Salsa chicken:
- 350 preheat,
place chicken with some s &p into pan, then put a jar of salsa over top (depends how much salsa you have per how many pieces of chicken)
shred some cheddar cheese ontop if you wish
cook for 45 mins
make a spinach and romaine lettuce salad to go for a side aswell as some wild rice
(for rice i usually use these no name packages theyre about 80 cents each. good buy feeds four)
Sunnis stirfry.
put chicken in heated wok. cook until pink is not noticeable.
put in broccoli, snow peas, red onions, green or red peppers baby corns ,carrots and water chestnuts.
cook down until vegetables are tender
bokchoy ( about 1.46 for a lot)
wash thoroughly, cut length wise place into stirfry simmer down until leaves are very very dark green
stir in soya sauce or kikomans stirfry sauce.
Sunnis mushroom burgers
for a healthy treat
turn on the heat or indoor grill
take out gills of portabello mushrooms and stems
place on grill with red onion slices
toast buns
once everythings grilled, just before ready to take off , put a slice of provolone cheese onto each mushroom
place mush , onions onto buns , for sauce i use balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing.
These last few arent SUPER cheap, but you got me putting down my recipes so...
Greek Salad Done Sunnis way
cut cherry tomatoes length wise
cut cucumber length wise, then again and then chopping into two half moon shapes almost
can of black olives pitted and drained
red onion cut into little squares
feta cheese
balsamic vinaigrette
toss altogether serve with pita cut in half (i like to put alot of dressing to make it juicier)
Sunnis Stuffed Chicken
butterfly chicken, pound set aside
in blender
do spinach , asiago shredded cheese, olive oil and fresh basil
make a chunky consistency
place onto chicken and roll chicken
wrap two slices of prosciutto onto chicken secure with toothpicks
bake at 350 for 45 mins
For a Side I do
asparagus , cut off hard ends place into boiling water until they are bright green
then give them an ice bath (make sure they cool down completely)
place onto baking tray and pour balsamic vinaigrette onto them,
bake for about 10 mins at 350
