CFL's from Seed to Skag?

Alrighty then,

Could I use say 4 100w CFL Bulbs through out my entire growing experiance, starting from seed through out until the rich harvest.


Here is my plan, would it work and do you have any cons/pros or tips etc?


1. Buy ten seeds of Big Bud and Germinate them in a wet tissue for 3 days.

2. Put them 1cm deep into my MultiSoil.

3. Keep them on 18/6 for two weeks watering them twice a day (water only).

4. After two weeks put it onto 12/12, still watering (water only).

5. After three weeks start them on Nutes, i'm going to use general purpose Miracle Gro, still with water twice and still on 12/12.

6. Continue with this until I see good buds and lots of leaves (8-12 weeks?)

7. Harvest them (pruning hanging bagging etc)

8. Get haiiiiii :mrgreen:

9. (mabey). Make some hash from the leaves.

10. Make sucess thread on the best forum ever (can you guess where?)



Any tips or pros/cons anything I should have done or shouldn't have done?

are they 100 watt cfl or 26 watt cfl which are equal to 100 equivalent.

1. germinate til you see tap roots not just 3 day maybe 1 day maybe a week.

3. you should water when the soil is almost dry not twice a day, a simple
rule is stick your finger in the soil about a inch if it's dry then water.

4. When you flower depends on how much space you have to grow height
wise and what method you want to use.

5. miracle grow nutes aren't the best but if thats what you got.

6. Go to radioshack and get a 10.00 microscope to tell when to harvest.
 
Not trying to burst your bubble or anything but that is just the tip of the iceburg.

get a thermometer and a humidity gauge.

a ph kit to test your ph.

a fan to help with your stems.
 
2 weeks of vegging under cfl's? There are 2 features that distinguish mature veggie plants from immature ones. They are alternating nodal arrangement and leaves with 5 or more blades. You can flower before those features are present, but the plants perform a whole lot better if you wait.

^^^^^also the plant will stretch and often grow tall and thin if you flower before the plant matures.

Also, noobiest question on the internet but your nice guys so, what exactly is Vegging?
 
As no grow, already pointed out, and to add to what he said, the vegging takes place during 18/6 lighting. You might want to consider vegging for 4 weeks or so, rather than 2 weeks.

I think i'm gonna veg at 18/6 for 4 weeks or so then move onto 12/12 and havest it after that. I'm also going with White Widow probably.
 
I would also read up on which ferts and nutes to use. If you are investing in a 600w HPS, you might want to drop another $40 on the Foxfarm products. Amazing results. Also get some blackstrap molasses to add when flowering. Your soil you want to mix with perlite to promote drainage and dolomite (if you can get it).
 
Vegging = vegetative growth.

essentially, the first part of the plants life is spent growing leaves, stems, and roots. During the 2nd part of the plant's life it will grow buds/flowers.

Thats the quick and dirty explanation.
