[CFL/SOIL/12/12 ]BBbubblegum's First Grow [CFL/SOIL/12/12]

hey man I would advise you to get rid of those 4 literally retarded plants, thats gotta be genes man , I was very frustrated by how slow my plants r growing and how thin compared to other growers, but at day 25 they look like hulks when compared to urs.

in other words they are not worth the effort and attention youve given them so far (let alone time, including running cost) also if thats how long it took them to get here imagine how long it should take to reach maturity and then flowering

I was going to say the same thing, I just didn't want to be rude. I just finished looking at a kid on here who's plant is at least a foot tall and a good seven inches wide and his plant is just as old as yours. I would scrap the ones your working on and start some new plants in new soil. Ofcourse this is only if you are actually planing on getting a good finish product. If your just doing this for fun then go for it :eek:

i figured any kind of advice telling bbbgum to restart would sound rude, but not telling him coz "it may sound rude" wasnt cool either. i took one for the team :-P

You can gently help it out with a toothpick. If it is really stuck, dab drops of water on the little helmet until you see water standing on it. Give it a little while to absorb it and do it again. Then gently try the toothpick again. Repeat until it comes off. I had some Lemon Skunks that were a bitch to get the helmets off, but I got them !

bbbgum knowing that killing any plants especially one you watched "hatch" is heartbreaking, why not see if u can try planting them outdoor and let nature tale it from there or just put them aside... you never know, and for a new batch make sure the seeds u get have no relations whatsoever to the previous ones (seed source)
 
The genetics for these new seeds are from a completley different source. The third seed popped today. 2 will be planted in a few hours and the helmet will be removed today.

First image is what is the last plant left from the first batch. Thinking about pulling him and replacing with the last germed seed i have tomorrow. The second picture is the seed a planted a few days ago coming up. The other 2 are the ones i did today. These were taken RIGHT AFTER WATERING, so don't say they are being overwatering. Within a few hours, they will be dryed up. I'll post a picture later on.
 
in order to receive more accurate inputs i suggest you start stating the age of any plant you show a picture of
 
well you answered your own question...need to get those temps down..72-76*F is ideal (during lights on/daytime). once you start to get into the 80+ range growth will slow

I thought most people have 80-90F? And how can i get the temps down I have a fan in there.
 
Looks like Ive missed a lot. 22 Pages Sorry man Im not reading em all haha. But from what I did read, seems lighting and soil is still a problem.

Ditch the MG. There has to be some kind of organic soil around you. I got a bag of organic seeding soil for 7 bucks at Home Depot. You could use that the entire grow if you watered and nuted properly.

As for lighting, what seems to be the problem?

From what Ive seen, I think you need to slow down. Dont try and germ every seed you get. Save them. 1 or 2 at a time. You will have better results.

As for a grow box, seen a guy do this, what a great idea. Get two big rubbermaid containers. The like 60/70 litre ones. Flip one upside down on the other and attach them (cut little holes. zip tie them together and seal it up with some tape). Cut out a little spot on the side near the bototm, throw a 80mm cpu fan in there, bam intake fan. Do the same near the top, exhaust fan. 1/2 Plants max in them though. Lighting, 4-6 bulbs would work. You can use those like metal looking cooking trays as a light hud, and tape/glue white bristol board all on the inside. Bam grow box that costs less then 50 bucks (Well maybe a little more CFL's are so expensive.)
