Cfl shape question

I know that the spiral one is better for sure, but my question is by how much? The reason im asking this is because i have found a decent deal on getting good brand cfl's on a great price but the shape is not spiral but the other one, do you think it's worth it?
I`ll give you some numbers now - 25w Spiral / 48w Standart - Same price! Should i get 48w standard shaped cfls or 25w spirals? I'm for the 48w ones but i`ll probably listen if you tell me that 25w spirals would be better. Thanks.

As I understood, it depends on how you plan on mounting your lights. THe flat ones were good for mounting horizontally, while the spiral shaped ones were better if you need to mount at an angle?

I find mounting cfl's to be a huge waste, the extreme power of cfl is their mobility. I plan on using them with clamps so i can have all my lights pointing directly at my plant with some kind of reflectors, i`ll use lst probably so i can keep them short and bushy? Still no direct answer to my question.

You don't seem to get my point...... that I thought they both just projected light differently. The point being that however you orient your lights, doesn't matter how you do it, that if you ORIENT your lights properly, both should be fine.

use the spirals on top and on the sides or underneath use the flat ones, keep them either horizontal or slanted, vertical is a waste
