Dude, If u are going to top it, try Uncle bens technique- wait til u have 5 nodes above cotyledons. cut off above second true node. Clone the top. The topped plant will likely grow 4 main colas. Worked for me. Look up Uncle ben and lst

Dried cat saliva? Naw, looks sorta like a little burn from touching a CFL, but I have no idea, is it a different texture than the surrounding green growth?

Yeah i'm not letting my mom stop me!! Ok you guys I have a question. ok look at this pic, it was kinda 2 leaves joining to for 1 at the tip. Is this polyploidy i've heard about?? i mean its a 10 leaf plant... is it rare??

when you topped did you just cut that main stalk or the main stalk and the 2 side branches? i hope you only did the main stalk. if you did the side branches that totally defeated the purpose of topping. man out of respect to your parents i wouldnt grow at home.

hey matt, your plant looks really nice bro. nice job! hope it works out with your mom, one way or another... how's your odor control? probably gonna start smelling stronger soon... also for where/how to tie, how much height do you have to work with? is the main stem still pliable? if the main stem doesn't bend, you could tie the lower branches now, let the two new top branches grow up for a few days and then start training those out to the sides, but kinda depends on how much height you have left in your box... and of course you're welcome to use any of "my" techniques, lol. man, i did a job on those girls...

if you do decide to start tying them down a bit, WATER IT about a half an hour before you do so.. this will give the plant more flexibility once the water gets through the roots.. if you feel like your plant cannot take bein bent over than just stop and tie down some side branches like homer said.. just keep reading peoples threads and journals.. a huge percentage of the dudes here use the LST method..ill be transplanting my babies and tying em down tonight(maybe).. ill keep you posted. good luck

Nice baby, Matt!! As for LST, just tie shit out of the way. Doesn't matter where you start, cause once you do start, your plant will respond with new growth, showing you the way of what needs to be tied down more/next. Just remember, it's a plant, and a weed nonetheless. It's pretty resiliant, and lots of peope on here snap branches and just splint them back together, often times saying "I think the branch i broke produced more!" Just think, the goal of LST is to increase light exposure and get an even canopy, so there is no wrong way as long as parts of the plants that used to be shaded are now getting light, and all growth is even...or at least thats the goal! Keep your thumbs green buddy, plant is looking good!
