Evenin' all,

Haven't been on in a while, but looking for some advice on buying a small amount of what's the best out there on the current market. It looks like the available strains have a min. buy-in that is much larger than what I can afford and grow lol. Just a little guy :0

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

The only cannabis ive ever grown that gave me pure medicating effects and zero psychoactivity would be Dinafem's Fruit Auto. No high at all.

Ive been researching, and the best so far seems to be Suzy Q strain, 56:1 ratio, .25%thc and like you said, you have to spend $250 min to order, and they are they only place i can find that even has it.

Might just buy $250 worth of Suzy Q, HAH.

many 1 to 1 strains hardly get you high due to the opposing effects of the diols.
If you are concerned about being high, just grow any strain and invest in an olive press, then you can juice whole plants which > than any extract, and won't get you high.

Just ordered Master Hemp, from Seedsman. Breeder is Medical Marjuana Genetics out of Spain.

Grew a bunch of high CBD autoflower last summer.

One if the CBD threads on here, had a link to someone selling decent hemp strains in small quantities as "bird seed" .

I don't understand the pricing on highalpinegenetics.

Is that $100 for 10 seed?

Thanks for those sites. (Shit gotta spend some money.)

Likely going to exeed my 15 plant medical license limit next summer... Gotta do some breeding with CBD hemp.

I mean hemp doesn't get you high and it takes more plants to make concentrates for myself, wife and dog..

Total bull shit really. Fuck em!

Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong in any way. From what I understand, as of Dec 20 2018 hemp is legal to farm in the US.
https://www.rollitup.org/t/fda-asserts-regulatory-authority-over-cannabis-derived-products.981791/#post-14650693

If you grow one of these hemp strains, you should be able to grow well over 15, and still grow 15 THC plants with your MMJ license. As long as the finished product is under 0.3% THC there should be no need for an MMJ license to grow it, and having say 50 hemp plants in your backyard for example should not require any sort of permit, or attract any oversight that I know of. Thats not to say that it couldn't attract oversight, but I don't think they would care about someone growing a minimal amount of hemp plants in their yard or house. Nobody is telling you that you cant grow apples or tomatoes, etc in your yard, but if you were farming acres of them thats a different story. Just know that the FDA could potentially come out and test your crop to make sure its below .3% THC
Again please correct me if i'm wrong on any of this, but I believe that is the state of affairs currently.

If you are farming many acres with thousands of hemp plants you would probably need certain permits and oversight as you would need with any major farming operation of any crop.

Edit: @OPfarmer yes you may have to spend $40-100 depending on where you get your seeds, but actually obtaining a high cbd low(ish) thc non "hemp" plant may be even more expensive and way more trouble. As you can see here:
https://www.rollitup.org/t/cbd-blitz-find-a-high-cbd-low-thc-mother-from-seed-in-only-3-weeks.963846/page-2
All of his strains are advertised as being around 20:1 ratio or close to it, but as you can see only 4 out of the 16 seeds he tested even had the high CBD low thc trait. many had either 1:1 CBD:THC ratios, or no CBD at all.

You are required to have a license to grow or process industrial hemp. The grower license allows you to plant and harvest industrial hemp, if you register to do so. ... If you are processing only hemp that you grow, you need only the grower license.

I have been working with Cherry Wine from Tree of Life and DCSE, picked up 10x for $30. Year and a half ago?... Its basically the wife x charlottes web/cherry pie.
I posted acouple of males somewhere, lots of variation, dont know what to think about stabalizing low cbd as a trait with polybybrids, probably not the greatest in a pure botanical sense, but that doesnt dictate market, so....
Cold creek has some cheap varieties as well....

MM GENETICS - CANDIDA CD1 FEM these are loved by many growers today world wide

Candida (CD-1)
This Cup winning high CBD strain has impressed with its growth and stability in production. In testing THC levels have never yet exceeded 1% and CBD levels have tested between 11% and 20% making it one of the first CBD dominant cannabis strains in history. It was recognised at the Spannabis Champions Cup 2017 taking 2nd place in the CBD category.

Description

Breeder: MM Genetics

Variety: Mostly Sativa

THC Content: 0.5%

CBD Content: 11-20%

CBD to THC ratio: 20:1

Sex: Feminised

Flowering Time: 9 Weeks

Yield: High

Medicinal Use: Depression, ADHD, Anorexia, Epilepsy, Autism.

CD-1 is a high yielding feminised strain with a unique lemon flavor and aroma that compliment its medicinal properties.

Candida will noticeably produce two different phenotypes; a sativa and an indica. Initial research has suggested that the sativa phenotype will produce lower, whispier yields often associated with sativa strains. We have noticed to date that the sativa pheno produces higher CBD counts. In comparison, the indica pheno will produce bigger, denser yields with lower CBD levels but still with significant CBD content.

most serious seedvendors sell them

I will grow these again
Also try the MM GENETICS latest 32:1 ratio Master Hemp (:

So even someone interested in growing a few hemp plants for their own personal use still needs the same license as a farmer cropping many acres?
I can't imagine they would even grant you a grower license if your proposed farming land happened to be your backyard or spare bedroom. I would imagine they would laugh at you.
If we are talking about places liberal enough allow recreational cannabis, (Although that seems to be spreading to a lot more less and less liberal places. Its just too much tax revenue to turn down clearly.) combined with this new federal reclassification of hemp as legal to farm, and clearly recognizing CBD as non toxic. This is only as of a month ago, but even still I really don't see them granting or even requiring grow licenses at this point to grow a few hemp plants for personal use. The scenario does not suit their tax collection purpose the grower license was created for.
It would certainly be interesting to find out though.

If anyone ever tried applying for a hemp grow license for personal use or know someone who has, please tell us what happened
But then again, whatever may have happened in the past, its a whole new ball field now with the federal reclassification.

It seems like the hype around hemp being evil is now mostly considered old 1950's post war propaganda and people seem to care less and less about propaganda these days(for the most part) I realize this is not the case in some states, and maybe you can still get in a lot of trouble. Although its only a matter of time before someone appeals their way up to the supreme court on this issue for a new precedent to be set on this nationally, based on the federal reclassification.
