Carbon Filter Setup: HELP

I have it wrapped around securely with duct tape so I dont want to destroy the seal.

I have air being sucked through the fan and when my hand is near it almost sucks it in so its working good, I have a 25 foot duct attached to as well.

My temp in the room is about 85-8 when the light is on to 75 when its off....could that affect the performance?
ok, so you have 25' of corrigated duct work on the exaust? did you check the specs of the fan to see what the max run is? corrigated duct work creates back pressure on the fan which decreases the CFM (which could help in this case) but if you fall below 100 cfm it wont work as optimal.

As far as it affecting performance, it should cool the room which is a good thing! your temps are a little bit on the high side unless your using CO2. and CO2 would not work well with a can fan exausting all the gas out of the room lol. I would hope for a 5-10* drop in temp with the good exaust that you have now.
