LISTEN to this guy. I told him on a thread that his container ideas were nuts. Then I actually tried what he said and I can guarantee you with 20 planted at the same time it is a valid test. I even PMd him and told him I was wrong. Listen to Big Steve on this and enjoy the rewards!!!!!!!!If you go straight into the final pot you will be wasting time. Transplant first into a small 4-6 inch pot for
about 2 weeks. Your plants will be bushier with more growing points.
BigSteve.
This is where a lot of new growers mess up.If you use smaller pot at first OVERWATERING is real easy to to do.Being a new grower and starting off with a bigger pot eliminates transplanting, becoming rootbound and overwatering......mho.Its the less moving parts thing.K.I.S.S.peace
Thanks my first grow that i started last month sadly turned to be male so this is my 2nd try . very new to this ( u can c why i dont want to handle them)What I said is true and what tt said is true.Transplanting is very easy........to someone who has done it numerous times, but to someone whos never seen a seed much less a plant, transplanting? Some people are handi-capable or have physical disadvantages that we dont.Common sense..........how much to water seedlings.........don't water them with the hose.I water with a spray bottle a few times a day so I don't waste too much water.I always get big healthy rootballs when I don't transplant. The answer to vbella90's question is....YES.GL.peace

Just not confident ... i watched tons of videos on youtube and read a lot of articles but im a girl and worry a lot lol. this time around I started it in a pot i plan to use thruout, I dont want it to get so gigantic and i know the pot has a lot to do with the size; I am only growing one plant for my own personal use, well trying atleast. if this bag seed turns to be male i am gona be upset, and then wait til my next bag seed to start growing again .... iam also worried to purchase seeds online lolplease don't water with a spray bottle a few times a day. your last plant was a male from the start so if your thinking you made it male your wrong handleing a pplant is fine. use an appropriate sized pot and water it well until you have a good amount of runoff. roots seek water and if you use a spray bottle like was mentioned you will have one of 2 problems. 1. your plant will rot at the soil line and fall over dead, or 2. your roots will suffer and be stunted. Maybe b166er 420 figured out the sweet spot and it works fine for him or her. It will end badly for you. you need to get over your fear and transplant from cup or sprouting pot to bigger pot and then to final pot. you could probaly even plant it right in the medium pot from the start. for the best results you need to learn to transplant the plant is pretty damn tough and stress really isn't a huge issue during veg. why are you so afraid????? is it because your last plant was a male..... you had nothing to do with that
Yeah, you said that!!!please don't water with a spray bottle a few times a day........if you use a spray bottle like was mentioned you will have one of 2 problems. 1. your plant will rot at the soil line and fall over dead, or 2. your roots will suffer and be stunted.
yes I said that!Yeah, you said that!!!
well your plant will servive just fin started in it's final pot like you have done just be sure to let all that soil dry out pretty good between waterings but next time you need to be ready to take on transplanting, it just makes for a stronger plant. a I think you are making more out of transplanting than it is. I think you will do fine it is very simple you just have to push yourself forward. even if it all goes wrong and your worst nightmare comes true and the roots all fall aparet and soil spill everywhere it will be fine stuff it in some dirt and water it no problem the plant wil get over it. have faith in the plant and yourself. pot size does not determin the size of the plant. the size of the plant determins the size of the pot. does that make sense? if you want to grow a 5 foot plant your final pot better be 5 or bigger gallon pot but if you want to just grow a plant that finishes at 3 ft. you could get away with a smaller pot. 24/7 or 18/6 either one works fine I usually mix it up and do 24/0 for the first week then 18/6 from then on out to flowering. if you want a small plant though you are gonna wanna not veg too long or top it after a few weeks. idk hope this wasn't too confusing for you. keep at it and don't listen to everything strangers on the internet tell youJust not confident ... i watched tons of videos on youtube and read a lot of articles but im a girl and worry a lot lol. this time around I started it in a pot i plan to use thruout, I dont want it to get so gigantic and i know the pot has a lot to do with the size; I am only growing one plant for my own personal use, well trying atleast. if this bag seed turns to be male i am gona be upset, and then wait til my next bag seed to start growing again .... iam also worried to purchase seeds online lol
