I mean I didn’t intentionally buy a horizontal light to see if I could hang it vertically..Why would you want to hang a horizontal light vertically?
I can't see why not if the bulb says it's universal. All that's inside the hood is cap, igniter, and transformer. Manufacturer probably say it's horizontal so heat is dispersed correctly. Can I hang this vertically?
the manufacturer didnt say no but they said “ it is designed to hang horizontally”

Cool.. I’m gonna give it a shot.. I just don’t wanna blow up my house. Or even worse.. my plants !I can't see why not if the bulb says it's universal. All that's inside the hood is cap, igniter, and transformer. Manufacturer probably say it's horizontal so heat is dispersed correctly.
Is it a 250w?I’m going to have two 7 gallon pots.. I’m mainlining so they’ll be bushy.. and I’m in a 3x3 tent I just thing the best way to distribute the light would be to hang the hps on the side of the plants and have the led on the top. Thanks for tuning in
The led and the hps are both 150 a pieceIs it a 250w?
I would think that would work pretty well. I was thinking you had bigger hps bulbs at first. The led and the hps are both 150 a piece
Dang never knew they made a 150w. I started with a 250w hps way back when, usually pulled 8oz with it but at that time nobody really knew what they were doing. Are you sure you won't have better results hanging it beside the LED horizontally? I'd take a yard stick or something around 3ft and hold it under your LED where the tops of plants will be at full bloom(5th week) and see how much spread the LED provides by how bright it is across the yard stick. That way can see if you will have enough spread with just your LED.The led and the hps are both 150 a piece
I have to agree with that.Dang never knew they made a 150w. I started with a 250w hps way back when, usually pulled 8oz with it but at that time nobody really knew what they were doing. 8oz! Man that is my goal right there, if I could pull 8oz dry off of this grow I’d have to hold a RIU banquetDang never knew they made a 150w. I started with a 250w hps way back when, usually pulled 8oz with it but at that time nobody really knew what they were doing.
that is something I will definitely try.. I’m about to go rent a par meter from my local hydro store. So I’ll test both par and spread when I get the meter. I believe so.. like I said I’ll have two 7Gallon mainlined girls flowering in 9sq ft.Will it have room in the tent for it to be used as side lighting?
Funny when I seen your light it took me back to the mid 90s, white widow and nl5 were my firsts. Those were the days....good luck my man!8oz! Man that is my goal right there, if I could pull 8oz dry off of this grow I’d have to hold a RIU banquet
You really just got my blood pumping man I can’t wait
Ha! Well then it fits me nicely.. I may be young but I have an old soul. I’ve got some acupulco gold seeds that are going in the dirt next round.Funny when I seen your light it took me back to the mid 90s, white widow and nl5 were my firsts. Those were the days....good luck my man!
Idk if I would use it as side lighting in that small of a space. You will probably have heat issues and it seems like it might be too close to the plants. On that light does it have a recommended distance? Like 18-32 inches away?I believe so.. like I said I’ll have two 7Gallon mainlined girls flowering in 9sq ft.
I can’t see them taking up more than 3sq ft a piece.. but I’m still green to this I could be wrong
