Can I guerilla autos??

Live in Canada near the 53rd parallel with a swath of boreal forest as my backyard - it’s a mix of poplar, pine/spruce and birch - growing season is short but in the shelter of the bush there are clearings that get a ton of sun. Was thinking of trying to guerilla some autos, which is all I could squeeze out with our shorter growing season.
Is using autos like this possible? Or would their needs make it unfeasible?

With the right soil or slight modification. Allowed to observe a nice example this summer in MI swails.

Not sure lol just don’t have experience with autos, wasn’t sure how they would fare in the ‘wild’ but makes sense that they would.

if like to try to dig planting holes and then amend with a good mix, would probably pop and veg inside then transplant

dont try planting the seeds outside start them inside until they are strong enough then transplant into some decent soil also keep up on pest control by fogging them with neem and you should be ok if you want to send me the exact coordinates i can help you at harvest time lol:D

Lolol sure pal!
id definitely have to do something to protect them from wildlife like deer etc - I was thinking just surrounding with some 4’ chicken wire and see how that does. Neem hey? I’ll have to check it out. I’d have to be discrete about tending the area, heading out a dusk etc, there are walking trails around with mostly locals living around that use em but very few on the whole, it’s a provincial park, but lots of space between and off the trails with dense bush that really doesn’t get any foot traffic. I was hoping to be able to treck the water to them every day or so.

you really dont have much to lose if it does go bad so i say go for it i am planning one myself

I just don’t have a basement in our new house and it’s killing me lol
I’m gonna try to do a couple in the yard in hempy buckets that I dig holes in the ground for, that way I can move em when I need to :bigjoint:

Sounds like your headed North. I went along on the only 3 visits between plant and harvest. Was 3 weeks old when dropped in home mix geared towards early flower needs in the amendments. 3-4 weeks it was top dressed. Lobster kelp, B@@gie brew dry, not made into tea. Doled out to meet apparent needs. Odd summer here. Low grass type wetland. Did really well as of last visit about a week before harvest. Have yet to see a bud or the bud.

Just an old stealth broadcast, spray and pray, grower on this subject. But is very possible. Just more activity than I consider stealth.

You would be surprised how many people actually go there, I bet. If there are trails there will be people.

Got to think about foragers and all those kinds of people. You see people off trails

Go where there are no trails and you are miserable and deterred getting there. Keeps you out and not making trails. Pests have been predominately rodents. Field mice to rabbits. A 2 preferably 3 ltr green bottle with both ends cut off make for good pest control sleeves. Toss a ball of your dogs fur in for added deterrence. It's not hard. Just requires thinking about human predisposition and plant needs.

Yea I definitely get that finding the right spot would be critical - foragers are definitely something that needs to be considered.
I like dog fur idea, that’s pretty cool.
I’m gonna start to veg inside and then bring em out only when I’ve found the perfect spots I think.

Im not talking about growing plants. Im just saying there will be people. Thats it.

In fact autos are the best option for this style and im all for it

you mentioned broadcast spraying - as in spraying for pests? I’m trying to consider what my possible pest-enemies would be where I’m at, the list is probably too long... lol

And if you actually understand our primitive behavior and senses they are easily avoided. We are creatures of habit and the path of less resistance. Go to the direction down wind of human indications. Go where you don't want to go due to stress, pain and just hard. You need to know people as well as plants in this game. Just offering some insight as having done that a time or two.

also with autoflowers i bet you could set up a slow drip system.

i would look into BCN Critical XXL auto by seedstockers. great genetics for cheap in bulk. If you failed its not like you're using $150 bean packs.

You do realize how big of a hobby foraging is now... and one of the whole aspects of it is not being a creature of habit and exploring places where you're not comfortable because you're likely to find "treasure" that way.

No not pest control. LOL. In my time it was qt. ziplocks full of mexi dirtweed seeds that you literally broadcast to the wind by the handful in each location. I have dusted the sights with diatomaceous earth. To visible. Ended being a good 2' circle. Nothing beyond.
