Can I give too much Red Light during flowering?

Is it possible to give a plant too much red light during the flowering stage?
this is my first grow, and I added a 80watt red light to the tent when I switched to 12-12, I think my buds should probably be bigger than they are, and I was wondering if the red light might be hurting the production of bud.

What is the red light? What spectrum is it? What area does it cover?
Make and Model.
How big is the tent?
What other type of light are you using?
I can't see it being detrimental to bud production.
