Can bugs destroy what's already grown?

So I've been dealing with bug issues it seems all summer (outdoor plant) I'm a newbie grower and didn't realize how to spot bug issues earlier. So basically leafminers have been my most recent issue-I cut all the effected leaves, but still noticed some baby larvae type bug this morning. In the past few weeks I've seen leafhoppers, leafminers, and possibly chiggers (I don't think I've got mites, but wouldn't doubt it at this point). So ultimately my question is: Can the existing buds that have already grown be effected by these bugs?
I know bugs can do a lot of damage in vegetation and I'm sure in flowering, but was thinking since harvest isn't far she might press through. Thoughts?

yes, bugs do damage, and yes, you might get by for another month. also, chiggers ARE mites...

but to the point, buds can be affected by bugs.

With outdoor youre going to have insects no matter what you do. I usually use either an insectisidal soap or a homemade solution of dr bronners peppermint soap along with neem and rosemary oil. I stop spraying once buds start forming.

Usually what ends up happening is that the oils in the spray stick around for a bit after theyve been applied so you still have some protection for a few weeks into flowering. By then it starts getting colder and the insects slow down.

I was about to suggest not removing leaves that have leaf miners in them but im really not sure. If theyre a big enough problem than removing leaves just means theyll move on to remaining leaves, but keeping the effected leaves around means youre essentially breeding them. Tough call.

spray the buds heavily with captain jacks spinosad right now because u already have bugs inside the buds weather u see them or not
I was using an insecticidal soap, but was told to stay away from spraying the buds because mold might happen. I've heard the neem oil leaves a bad taste afterwards. I have no idea where to get captain jacks in my area-all the HD/Walmart garden stores, which is all I've got essentially, didn't have it. Should I just hose it down thoroughly with the garden hose than the insecticidal soap??

Insects will hurt your yields but they wont destroy your buds completely at this point, barring some freak locust swarm or some other act of god.

The worst ive ever had is bud that was covered in slime trails from snails crawling all over them. Snails also defecate in neat little coils all over your plants but at that level shit is pretty much indistinguishable from dirt.

That's what I was hoping for. I know I'm not getting a huge yield outta this plant in the first place, but it's great to salvage something. I don't even know what bugs I'm dealing with anymore. I've only seen 1 chomped leaf the rest are getting brown/red spots. That's all aside from the leafminers of course haha.
Thanks for your input.

Is there anything I should do once harvesting to cut down the number of possible bugs left inside. I imagine once drying some will lose interest, but couldn't say for certain. Just want to reduce any bad tastes from final product-if smoking bugs will even effect it.

It's been hell trying to identify what these are at this point. Early in the season I had a really light case of mites, treated those and stoppe seeing evidence of them. After that I was seeing signs of thrips and or leafhoppers (silver streaks on leaves). I thought I took care of these, but saw a singular hopper not long ago. Also, didn't know I had leafminers probably all along. I don't ever see loads of anything under the leaves, which I check very often. I've got buds grown and waiting to mature. Was hopin after cutting basically all the old growth I could make it last until harvest. I might only guess that it's NOT caterpillars-I don't have chomped up leaves, but aside from that I throw my hands up.
And of course a pic to show what she's workin with.

I did find some unknown bugs on the underside a day or two ago. They were small and a sort of transparent creamy green color. I'm not sure if these are larvae or mites of some kind. They didn't seem to move too quickly and from what I remember they seemed to be moving the way a worm does (sliding on their bellies). I know there's something still hanging around here just not positive what. I saw a regular spider on her the other day as well, really wish he'd do a better job haha.

Chuggers are mites, and if you have all those other problems then it is going to be tough, assuming it is 4-6 weeks into flower now yes? leaves got little yellow and white spots? under the leaves any black spots? really small? Anything moving under the leaves at all you got mites my friend. Anything past 2 weeks flower you can't use neem oil unless you want shitty tasting medicine. Avid and floramite is a no go. DO NOT use that in flower. I suggest trying MIGHTY WASH, or pyrethrin spray (from the pyrethrum plant) it is an organic insecticide and will kill on contact. spray the under sides good on all the leaves, do this about 30 mins before the lights go out ( outdoor do it when the sun is on the horizon with the trees. same with the mighty wash, spray underneath. if you manage to tackle this until harvest then your going to need to be very careful on what you keep for meds, as you dont want to smoke webs, eggs, dead bugs etc... or your patients. if there are webs at all then take a vacuum and LIGHTLY suck them off. but dont touch the buds with anything. im guessing your weather has been hot and dry for a little while. as that causes a lot of bug issues outside for growers... i hope you can get it under control my friend, because believe me i have dealt with them fuckers before and they can take your whole crop before you even realise you have a problem. sad thing is once there is a problem... it is very very hard to radicate it completely... the only true way is to start over. clean clean clean everything. then clean again. get new everything. pots soil. wear different clothes around plants. i cant stress that enough. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. no pets near your garden, no dirty clothes, dirty materials.

Thank you for all the advice. This is my first plant and really didn't even think I could have so many different bug problems. Weather has definitely been hot with a good amount of humidity/rain. Weird thing is I have never actually seen any black dots (aside from literally 1 or 2 throughout the weeks and think these were dirt), which always lead me away from mites and the chigger type bugs I've only ever seen 1 of weeks ago. It's really been making things confusing for me-I know for a fact I had a bad case of leafminers and saw leafhoppers on 2 different occasions. All I have at home is insecticidal soap, but was strongly warned to avoid contact with the buds to avoid rot. My local shops don't have the friendly pesticides that have been suggested to me here. I can say that harvest can't come quick enough.

Believe it or not, lowes has some organic stuff that i have used in a pinch that has worked OK' 'captain jacks dead-bug brew' it is spinosad, beneficial bacteria, 'garden safe' makes some things that are pyrethrin based. As far as spraying and preventing mold or rot. just make sure moisture and dew gets evaped off within a timely manner and gets sun afterwards and it will be fine. i have done that and worked well.
