first signs of flower. this is from my "golden seed mega-mix". it could be 1 of 6 strains. it is apparently an indica, yet it shows sativa leaf patterns.

My plants are diggin' the amazing sun we are getting this summer.Even though my plants are only 2.5-3.5ft. tall , I've got some coke can size colas going now, some of which are pushing 2 ft. in length. It's part of why I decided to manually flower my girls by keeping them in 2.5gal pots and moving them indoors for their dark period. This July-August sunshine is great to finish in. Of course my yield will be nowhere near FDDs-

yeah but you will be done before the wind and rain comes. it got me last year. the colas are heavy enough as it is. then it pours on them and all the branches break and fall in the mud. i'm at work and i know what's happening and i can't leave. it kills me. happened last year. i only lost about a half lb.

Ya I hear ya.It dosen't rain down here like it does up there. But we still get some 2-3 day long heavy rains and I didn't want those colas out there molding up.Of course I am slightly insane so I wind up overthinking things. When you have a garden the size of yours, you can afford to loose a small percentage to the elements. I am sure you somehow manage to eek by  .

But ya this is my second season doing this manual flowering outdoors and I enjoy the benefits. The lack of serious pest probs., the fat colas , etc but the smaller plant sizes kinda sucks and of course moving the pots in and out every day gets kind of old ( suprisingly I still don't mind all that much ). I am going to try my hand at doing it both ways next year ( provided our California med. marijuana privelages are still in effect ) and am going to get myself 2-3 8 gal. pots and leave some to finish normally.I see those lovely amazon girls of yours and then I look at my little 3 footers haha- size does matter!

So ya either I grow some bigger plants or buy a bigger truck to make myself feel better.Plants are cheaper!

i'm thinking some kind of greenhouse next year. with a black out cover. maybe even pvc tubing arched in the ground and some black plastic and a fan.

yeah i was gonna suggest something like...

hey remember lougrew???

of course you do!!!

but yeah, he had the arches in his grow area so he could cover his million plants... or atleast the few thousand he couldn't fit in his barn....   :blsmoke:

would make sense... follow the forcast... if it seems like its gonna be a bad day, throw the tarp over before you take off... seems like a fairly simple fix that'd save some bud!
