Bushcrafting, the weed addition: Bugout patch

I heading out to the camp here in a few. The last couple of weeks I have been putting in an hour of shoveling per night. I'm working on a root cellar of sorts. Started it last winter, but it got too hot before I finished. I'm having to get back into it slow. Saving the clay and sand for cob does give me a chance to catch my breath. But it feels good to move some dirt.

I don't get started until about 2200 when it {and I} have cooled off a little.

See you guys tomorrow.

I had to pull a few buds from the BST2 in the FP patch. Really bad bunch of worms. Did pick off all I could find, then sprayed with Neem.

Look how far along the seeds are. I may have to pull early once the seeds are mature.

The other day I got over to the AL {Bug-out} patch. I found another CPDA male. {the one on the left} I like it better than the one I had been collecting pollen from already. It will be a few days before it is ready. Crazy that they are just now starting to flower.

I worked on adding cob to the outside fireplace at the camp today. A couple of weeks ago I cut some marsh-grass to use as straw. Wish I had raked it up then. Marsh-grass grows fast.

I mixed up two tubs of mud, and added it to the fireplace.

And some one did what I have been saying I was going to. Killed a damn deer. I didn't turn him over to look, but there was no sign of a wound I could see. He is fresh right now, but I hope the buzzards find him soon.

My customers have been gone an hour or more, so I need to get my lazy ass up, lock the doors and get out of here. See you guys tomorrow afternoon.

When you find yourself mixing up cana cinnamon swirl muffins after eating cana bread and a safety meeting, it is a good idea to read all the directions before starting. Good thing the muffin tin was well greased when I had to spoon all the dough out to add the topping to it. Didn't even try to do the middle and top thing. I just mixed it all together. Now it's back in the oven at 212 1/2F. Well, it's about half way between 200 and 225, the closest I can get on the big work oven. It went in at 1820. You guys remind me about two hours from then, alright?
