bud storage

i read about it in my high times grow guide. you heat the jars at about 150 degrees (not too high) so when they cool, the air creates a suction. like when you open a jar and you hear that 'pop'. you can store for years that way if they are cured properly. if you just screw a lid on a jar, it's not vaccumed sealed for freshness.
So, do you heat the jar or lid?:blsmoke:

Heating the jars and lids is the process used to preserve food, like tomatoes, beans...When you heat the jar the air inside expands. You put your buds inside, screw the canning lid down tight and as the canning jar and air inside cool it contracts creating a vacuum inside the jar. If you use canning jars and lids you can tell if you have a good seal by pushing down on the lid. If it pops in and out you Don't have a good seal if it doesn't pop in and out you have a good vacuum seal. Mold and bacteria won't grow in a vacuum. You should be able to store your buds for a couple years this way as long as you keep them in a dark place. I've done this process hundreds of times. I canned some pasta sauce this way last week.

This is a hot pack method it works with food that's in liquid. It really heats things up. The cold pack method would be better for pot storage.

you know one of those brown paper bags that your mother used to put your lunch in... or one that a drunk would hide his alcohal in public with... thats is what you should store your plastic bag in.. becuase plastic atracts the thc from the bud... and therefore when you take weed out of the bag it would leave some thc behind.. dont freeze the bud becuase then all the thc will break of.. thats y you freeze your bud before making hash with it.. so put your buds in a brown plastin bag and then put the bag in a air tight container.. this is perfect becuase know stranger wil be able to see the bud, the bud will be in complete darkness.(which is good for potencey) AND THE THC WILL BE AIR TIGHT SO YOU WONT LOSSE ANY:razz: :p:p
