Bubble cloning questions

Hi, I made a little bubble cloner that holds six cuttings. I have a few questions.

1. What is the optimal temperature for quick root propagation?

2. Does it really matter if it is covered with a dome or humidity tent or whatever?

3. Do I need to use rooting hormone?

I will place the cloner on a heated seedling tray with a few layers of towel between the cloner and the heat pad. I will check it in about 12 hours and look at the temperature. If it is too warm, I will put another towel layer between the pad and the cloner. If it is too cool, I will remove a towel. This cloner will only hold about a half gallon of water, so it should warm up pretty easily. I will keep adjusting it until it is in the optimal range. I will be running a wide flat bubble stone that covers about half the bottom of the cloner, so there will be LOTS of bubbles.

Can I get some input please?

Pictures forthcoming...

I would work your PH down to about 5.2-5.5 --- oh yeah, good luck and dont get discouraged, and you may want to use distilled water only for cloning. In my area water is so bad clones will not take in tap water.
