I wish they went with a higher diode density.

I like the gen2, I'll be grabbing some gen3 soon.

Yeah I'm still happy with my choice but you know the whole newer bigger better thing. Though I do have room on my driver for up to 4 more strips so there is always the option of mixing the 2 provided their voltage is the same.

Any news about gen4? Sounds somehow strange to release gen 3 and 4 within a half year. Why the heck they should release gen4 this soon?

To be honest, i think "for sale" means digikey, arrow & co will be able to order the strips this week. Lead time is usually 8 weeks. Theres still no datasheet for them, only that sheet that seems more like some sales literature. I think end of summer is more likely.

Mr. Amsterdam, iiuc, gets his info on a distributor level, so for sale means orderable fpr them. But again, only my ideas...

Don't feel so bad about the Gen 2 build now, looking forward to grabbing some of those Gen 3's to tac on to the build though.

Any chance if we know if the Vesta EB strips will be upgraded as well?

Regarding Gen3 it looks like RocketSoul is right, probably won't be released to consumers until the end of summer.

But damnit, I want to build my next rig with those gen3-strips! >.<
