Outcrossing with a Male from a BX line onto an auto to preserve the genes might not be your best bet. Some bastard polyhybrid you will have lots of variants and many recessives. Bx5 is already very lots of work from someone else.

Sidenote: You know what though, I notice some people claiming BX lately.. And when asked how they did that without the parent plants what they actually describes is like an S9 or F9.

Your question is kind of loaded. And you won't be satisfied unless you approach it from multiple angles. I'm sure a few others will stop through and lend some input. Let us know your approach
Real BX is taking a 2 parent plants down an inbred journey to F 4-7 and hit by pops again? What if at F4-7 you self mom and hit the kids?
