I was curious, previously in deep thought, if outdoors in a pot and I move it out of sun to the shade like 2 hours before it normally gets shaded, would this trick the ladies into believing the days were starting to shorten? Or is it the total darkness in which it determines the shortness of days? Probably a stupid question but I'd like to know a serious answer please.

Shade can do the trick sometimes but not always. Flowering season starts in a few weeks I wud just let it progress naturally.

it will need complete darkness... even in the shade plants can tell its still daytime. if u really want to start em budding and u can move em, just bring em inside for a day with no lights on and then throw em back outside. u may not have to even tarp em everyday for 12hrs since its so close to flowering season anyways once u start em they prob wouldnt revert back to veg.

Shoot I am still two months till start getting close to 12 hour days, my sativas last year were close to not finishing before freeze. This year indica dominant anesthesia. Hoping for a little shorter flowering time. I appreciate the strait answers reps to yall. Actually I think I see preflowers for a week but this is my first indica, they are definitely different from sativas. I like her a lot...lol.
