question from a total newbie:
i have one 4x4 tent, and no more space for a second tent of any size.
i have four autos that i started four weeks ago (a lot of fours here...) in the tent. they're in 3 gallon pots. ideally they'd be ready to pull by end of march.
i want to start the chernobyl beans, like now, and i'd like to grow three, using 5 gallon pots.
should i just wait for the autos to finish? can i stagger them all in the same tent - meaning the chernobyls would be on a 18/6 light schedule until at least march when i could change the light schedule... i do have the floor space; it would be cramped but the autos likely won't be *too* big since they're in 3g pots. OR i guess the autos can be on a 12/12 schedule with the photos, but that would be pretty late in flower for them and i'd be sacrificing terps and trichomes at that point, right?

As a forum member that may love a little bit of chaos, start em all!! You'll be just fine!!!!!

As someone that is relatively new to the game and has had to really work on learning patience, 4 plants that you don't know exactly how they are going to grow will do just fine in your 4x4 if you have everything environment wise working as it should. You can add some plants if you'd like, but it doesn't take much for it to get crowded and overwhelming. I barely.habe room for a 4x4 tent. I now have a 2x2, 3x3, and my 4x4. Luckily,I do not have a spouse, because I could 100% guarantee that this shit would NOT fly if I did. Haha.

Now, if you wanted to start your new beans a couple weeks before the autos finish so you can have a decent transition,that in my opinion would probably work out best for you as a new grower. (I'm assuming you are a new grower)

Day 44 from sprout
Chernobyl Slymer Cut S1

Trimmed the monster fan leaves off the bottom that were looking rough. I also pulled the branches down a bit more to spread her out. How does Chernobyl stretch when you flip her? I'm going to be gone for a week at the end of February and I'm debating between flipping her in the next few days, flipping her right before I leave, or waiting until I get back. But if she is a big stretcher in that first week, I don't want to flip her right before I leave. I'm leaning towards taking another round of cuttings to try to clone in the next day or two, letting her recover for a day or two, and then flipping her this weekend. With any luck, the clones will root and I can send them straight to 12/12 before I head out of town. We'll, that's enough for this mornings ramblings from an ADD brain.

One of the torture clones finally gave up a couple days ago. The one in back os holding on, but she's got a real limp handshake and looks kinda sad, but she hasn't given up yet. Maybe she's just a little bit emo?

Are you saying to put enough water in the black tray to have the plugs sitting in water?

They have a decent size hole in each clear cell. I originally put some water in the black tray, but it seemed to be way too wet on the plugs. So now, I made the plugs wet and misted the black tray and the CP and BBCC ended up getting roots.

Heating mat, yes. Unregulated but warmth is good and yup, pretty saturated. My other favorite method is aeroponic, but you have to keep an eye on that. Pump failure once heated the unit up and cooked off all the cuts. This is easy and reliable.

Years ago I did build a diy aero cloner. It did work, but I'd rather just drop em in plugs and leave em alone. I'll add some water to the tray this evening and see what happens.
