Hey everyone! I'm finally at the point where I'm having great consistency with each grow and have learned to control my plants very well...been about a yr of experimenting. So here I am ready to share with the people who CARE!
Just a little info about me: I only smoked marijuana a few times in high school and never felt much of anything, probably due to poor quality herb. I only started in freshman yr of college due to increasing curiosity of the plant's properties and many uses. (SIDE NOTE-I have fairly bad anxiety and some fear of hospitals and such...had some bad accidents when I was very little). After using it strictly recreational for a month, not going threw more than a 1/4oz, I had noticed a huge difference in my how much I would sweat! I play guitar and as my anxiety got worse towards the end of high school so did my clammy hands and constant nervous cold sweats making guitar less fun to say the least. FINALLY A CURE I thought haha...well then supply and money was quickly an issue. I knew right away i would eventually have to supply myself...also due to the increasing nervousness I had just trying to find somebody with herb and deal with that somebody. I also have moderate ADHD which I was never treated for until a yr ago I tried Adderall which wow def works to focus me but I quit after a month due to the addiction I felt for it. I was also trying Paxil and something else for anti-depression and to help calm nerves but they made me feel weird and kinda sick so I dropped those to, I'm doing way better with depression by just talking to people more often about my life. Simple as that, but I kinda like to be a recluse so I have to kick myself to call family and friends at times.
I feel I have found a couple strains, Trainwreck & LCOG, that help me stay positive and upbeat/full of energy without any couch-lock. I also tend to harvest slightly on the early side to reduce how powerful the couch-lock can become.
SETUP:
Veg-400w mh + cfl for filler lights
Flower-400w Ushio hps, 2-150w hps, 240w & 432w HTG Supply 7-band LED panels and a Kessil H150 magenta
Felt pots/CANNA Coco Coir in combo with their coco nutrients A&B + PK 13/14. Have been using Snow Storm Ultra, Crystal Burst, and Gravity by Humboldt but once I'm out I'm def going to try something else. By the way I have also used Bush Master and all products work VERY WELL...almost too well to be safe IMO but I don't have the knowledge to make a final decision there.
GIRLS:
Trainwreck - Greenhouse---pretty hardy and strong grower, about 10-12wk flower depending on how much amber you want, very dense flowers
LostCoastOG(LCOG) - Emerald Tri---grows strong and TALL, flowers fast 8-10wk with rock hard flowers
Vanilla Kush - Barney's Farm----giving me constant trouble in flower but i seem to be taming the beast.
Chocolope - DNA Genetics---so so so stinky
gotta be carefully with this shit if you are worried at all of smelling like skunky-earthy-goodness
GIRLS I USED TO HAVE:
Tangerine Dream - Barney's Farm----also gave be a lot of trouble and poor results during flower when other plants treated the same do great so I got rid of her.
Easy Sativa - don't know breeder but it was a lower potency plant that would pretty much grow in any environment i put her in. "Very Easy" Sative
I also had some Pineapple Chunk seeds but I used them on my first test germing in peat pellets and they never germed a few weeks later ever...holy crap bad idea just going to stick to the traditional wet paper towel in the warmth or just plop right into the coir with plastic on top.
I've been very interested in LED tech since the beginning which was truly about 4 yrs ago when I grew my first three plants with just cfls and a few 14w led panels to help during flower. All I have to say it it was smooth but very week high and little taste, especially when compared to what I grow now.
I just had my first experience making BHO and doing a ton of research before hand really help me feel confident, especially after reading Skunk Pharm LLC's site. Great info there too. I'll be posting some pictures of the BHO hopefully tonight if I don't get too tied up. It turned out great for all I can tell...I definitely enjoyed feeling uber high light the first time I hit some Trainwreck!

keep an eye on my journal entries, I willl be trying to post pictures daily just to keep ppl up to date with what i'm doing...i totally wish we could post quick 10 sec videos on here so i'm not temped to on youtube. I just want to show ppl how some of my results burn/melt.
