Blurple supplements for 3x5 space

Gotcha. I just think you need more real light not all that blue n red. You only have 2 qb288 or 250w and even some of that is 4-480. For 15sqft I still think ud be better with another v2 rspec qb288
My total watts are now 260w + 120w + 60w = 440w. Which for a 3x5 spot offers a 29.33w per square foot. Plus supplemental uv for a few hours. This should be more than enough for flowering. Why are these not considered real light photons?

if they are anything like the older Lumigrow lights, they are probably outrageously priced.

so are you happy with the Emerson boards? i ended up adding some far red pucks and a UV T5 to my QBs and i'm pretty happy.
Do the pucks seem to cover a lot of area? I was pretty surprised how much area these Emerson boards covered. I was a bit worried cause they were only 3 ft length and my other bars were 4 ft but they seemed to cover just as well.

i think they say that 1 can cover a 3x3? i'd have to look it up to be sure. these are the growmaus pucks. i don't do the far red to put them to sleep ( i think that's bullshit) but for Emerson. my QBs are 4000k so i have more blues than the 3k boards.

so i have one puck over a 2x3 area (3x4 bloom room) . 2 pucks.

i'm with you: spectrum is way more important than total watts.

Yeah, my last grow years ago was with multiple spectrums from cfl's + reptile uv + a crappy blurple leds and the combination of them all made some nice buds so when it came time to build another space and upgrade I didn't want to lose out on all the spectrums when using newer more efficient lighting. I've just got the Emerson's on full time instead of the putting them to sleep. I only run a total 11 hour flower cycle with the full spectrums on for 10 anyways.

The light doesn't have to look blue to be blue. You can have a full spectrum light that looks white is the point. Of course spectrum is important as is power. A second 250w qb 3500 or 4k with the 660 red would be better than all those extra red and blue boards

I was trying to create a newer version of this atrocity I put together.

i disagree. more reds and blues target chlorophyll A and B spectral absorption peaks. blurples are given a bad name b/c of bad advertising (15000 watts on Ebay for $19 kinda crap) , not their spectra.

Why do people always feel the need to critique what others are doing?
How about sit back and watch and hopefully learn something from the outcome of what other growers are going out of their way to share.
@slacker140 is doing great work here and hopefully continues to share the results of his spectrum cocktail :peace:

Here's the progress after two weeks of flowering. I'm likely pulling the 2 far left ones out in a couple days cause they were tester freebies and one threw a couple balls and the other is a runt so I can spread out the canopy of the rest. Growth seemed to progress well in my opinion for the 2 weeks.
