The first one doesn't have led i don't know its been a long time since I've used one tbh lol I think this version has a few settings and is more accurate a bit shorter and thicker from what I can gather easier end removal for cleaning

V1 and V2 are basically the same but the V2 is a pia to read and it's a bit sturdier it also has a temp probe on the tip the V1 is temp compensated.

The predecessor New Zealand hydro were the best ones imo but the V1 and 2 are adequate.

I found a slab of grodan getting the truncheon, so thanks to the op :-)

I've a couple of tips i can offer to others...
keep a jug of dehumidifier water for rinsing your truncheon, it's close to pure so doesn't leave residue on the sensors.

For calibrating mix 1g of salt per litre of pure water (i use dehumidifier water) that gives an ec of 1.0
2g per litre ec is obviously 2.0

For cleaning soak the the tip in ph down or use some ajax/vim/cif with a cotton bud and give it a light clean and rinse off.

Rubbing/twisting the tip on a rock wool cube also cleans it but i didn't feel it was thorough enough however it does work.

There's a "home" version and a commercial version. The commercial one goes higher. Other then that it's the same. The end twist off on the new one the older one just slides off. I have both the old one and the new one. The old one I'm using at my small place is like 5 or so years old and trucking still.
