Blueberry Gum & other Attitude freebies...Low Budget Grow

Brought the plants under the HID last night I really like this light, but my power bill might not. Anyway, I decided to top both plants. I got scissor happy. I trimmed a bad fan leaf from each plant and decided...what the hell, snip snip! I think it might work out better since I am gonna scrog or tie them down. I can't wait to see those first white hairs. I know people are gonna look at the KK and say, "what happened?" I had a super high pH and phosphorus became locked out. I have pics of what a phosphorus deficiency looks like from ph lockout. The Blueberry Gum is looking absolutely freakin' fabulous! I gave both plants a watering and nutrients. No more Dr. Earth and guano, as the nitrogen is too high and the mycorrhizae was killing my pH level. Any higher, and it would have became caustic! I switched to a 5-30-30. I need phosphorus and potassium. I put in a teaspoon of Azomite as well. I checked my soil pH before adding nutes and it was 7.0, so I mixed my water and nutes with pH down which measured 6.0. It should work out rather nicely and hopefully balance out around 6.5...crossing my fingers. Here are the pics...some feedback would be appreciated.

Getting that pH down will work wonders (and has! in your case) I had a friend with a sickly plant that exploded with dark green vigor and growth when he simply dropped the high pH into a good 6.8 or so range. That kk plant looks great now.

Does your BB gum smell yet? I heard it smells (good) almost from the 2nd week!

WOOT! subbed! GRO MAN GRO! gotta love the freebies.

I like Fox Farm stuff -- they put lots of biologically active organics in their soils / ferts. You could put some of their soil into other mixes (even in your veggie garden) to release these beneficial and disease-protective agents. That would keep it low-budget over several grows. Looks like you got it handled though -- great mix of stuff. I never heard about "Azomite" before, it sounds good. I have used bone meal before and it seems to help.
Yeah, I am sure that if you get the right stuff from FF, it is just fine. If I make my own, however, I can put what I want in it and take out what I don't want. I got a bag of Sunshine neutral for nine bucks and added what I wanted and it cost a few bucks less than Fox Farm. I use Dr. Earth and supposedly the Fox Farm people learned how to make soil from Dr. Earth. Low budget in cannabis growing is still in the hundreds of dollars total. Thanks for stopping by and welcome. I add pics almost every day, so there is always an update.

Here are today's pics. I am having a major heat problem. They seem to be doing fine and I think it is the fan and the CO2. It is around 90 degrees in my grow room on average. I am sure they will hold on until I get an exhaust fan with some real power next week. Despite the heat, they are looking great. The BBG is an awesome looking plant!Day 29, 12-12 Day 4 Kandy Kush 1.jpgDay 29, 12-12 Day 4 Blueberry Gum Stemview.jpgDay 29, 12-12 Day 4 Kandy Kush 2.jpgDay 29, 12-12 Day 4 Blueberry Gum Topview.jpgDay 29, 12-12 Day 4 Blueberry Gum Stemview2.jpg

oh yeah, the additive I am using called Azomite is actually an acronym meaning A to Z Of Minerals Including Trace Elements

Yea they'll be fine but for the time being I would keep a fan blowing on them and obviously keep them watered. Shit all my grows have been in the upper 80's for the most part..

I think so too. I don't see any real signs of heat stress. The exhaust is gonna be my most expensive purchase of the grow. It is mandatory, however, because the location of my grow is the attic and I live in a triplex. The good thing about the attic is that there is a roof cap a foot away from my grow room/box. I can run the exhaust right out the roof cap and the air being hot, will rise and no one will smell it. I have a DIY carbon filter ready to go, but I may alter it. If I get a strong enough cfm fan, then I will pull the hot/smelly air through the filter, find a way to cool it, then bring it back in to the room. So, there will be scrubbed air in there. I will update today's progress at about 7:00 pm est.

SCROG TIME!!! I kept thinking of what to use for the screen. I used net trellis, which is supposed to be the best, but not in my case as I could not get it tight enough to be effective. Then it dawned on me to cut some of my fence as I have a wooden one behind it anyway. It looks great and only took 30 minutes to cut and place. The plants are doing great, but now the real challenge begins...watering when the plants grow into the screen.

I am pretty excited because today my Blueberry Gum showed its sex. I know, I know...I got feminized seeds, but the pistils showing is another day closer to budding. It took six days in flower for the Blueberry Gum to show it's pistils. I am still waiting on the Kush, as it went through some trauma when the pH locked out the phosphorus around a week or so back. It is catching back up as you can see in pic#4. The BBG pics show the tops starting to grow through the screen. My baby daughter is happy and smiling and my ladies are green and happy...great day so far!!

I just took a couple of starts off my Blueberry Gum yesterday. Just put them in some organic soil with rooting gel. They look pretty good after one day. At least they didn't do a total droop.

Congrats on the girl homie!!! I know exactly what you mean, even though there fem seeds there's still a very small chance they can go male. I'm excited to see these grow into the screen for you, I'm still new to the scrog thing so I'll be learning something new on this one:)

I am learning as I go with the scrog. I am gonna weave it up and down through each notch in the fence. I think that is how it's done. I guess it doesn't matter as long as you keep it from growing up toward the light and keep it growing horizontally.

Now, I am having doubts. I am thinking it might be too late to do a scrog because I am in flowering and there is no growth on my screen. I am stuck I guess because I have no vertical clearance and I have a HPS. I have got some serious brainstorming to do if this scrog doesn't want to cooperate.

I pruned back the BBG today, as the vegetation was so thick. Now, I feel alot better about starting a scrog in flower. It may not be a true scrog because I didn't start training during vegging, but I think it will get the same effect. The KK has nearly caught up.

Attitude is well worth it! Great stealth shipping and a selection that is second to none. I am thinking about placing another order as a matter of fact. I was thinking of getting the Opium strain or Barney's Farm's LSD. Prices are great and they are only a few more bucks than ordering directly from the breeder. I ordered Greenhouse's "The Church" and it cost me $28.00 + stealth shipping (which I added the T-shirt) and it totaled $43.00. I ordered early Saturday and it was in my box next Saturday afternoon. I got four free seeds. I would refer them to anyone. I will try to give you an overhead, but it's in my attic and access is difficult as it is.
