All right, lets start this journal off quickly.

Same setup as always:

15w cfl clone box

400w CMH 2x4x5 veg box

600w HPS 4x4x8 flower box

I have 2 (fem) Blue Widow seeds from Dinafem that germinated in 2-3 days and were just transplanted into 1 gal air pots yesterday.

Hopin to find a good keeper to hold me over until i start THE DOG by Breeders Boutique

One like the berry white we always get from CA/CO.

Some info on the strain:

Blue Widow has been created to give flavour, taste and colour.

Due to its Blueberry heritage, in low outdoor temperatures this plant displays autumnal colours, turning from blue to purple and even reddish colours when the temperature drops even further.

It has great upward growth and can double in size as it starts flowering making it a good choice for a SCROG. It is a good producer of fat purple buds totally coated with trichomes, with a fruit chewing gum taste and a strong effect.

It can double in size.
It is a good producer of fat purple buds totally coated with trichomes.

Ill have some pictures up soon. Not much to see yet.

I was wondering what strain you were going to do next........good luck with them. I've had very good success with all my Dinafem grows!

Thanks! Yeah i was debating for a while and we want to save the dogs for when we double up our set up.

Soon we'll be runnin 2 600w for flower, half mh half hps and have about 650 watts of cmh for the veg room

Just gonna get a few good runs with this strain and hopefully find a keeper to rotate in with the dogs.

But once we get the other 600w im gonna pop about half of those dog seeds and start the pheno hunt.

Thanks! Hopefully shes pretty tasty. The HOG i was growin just didnt have the next level of flavor my buds usually do. So i had to toss her.

Awesome producer! Very nice strain to grow, adapts easily, and clones easily. Smell when growing...Holy Fuck! I had only one problem with it and that was the smell, kind of a grapefruit/petroleum taste and smell, almost sickly. Doesn't support itself well but if supported can produce over a pound a plant, great for sog or scrog set ups...Good Luck, its an ass kicker...JAS

Sounds like its right up my alley. Love the old school fuely widow/diesel smell plus the grapefruit smell from the widow is always nice. And who can hate a lil blueberry in there.

Makes me remember some of the first times ive smoked, when you hit that good diesel or widow or og for the first time.

Man i wish i had that tolerance, or lack there of. hahaha

Hows the stretch on her? I really want to grow her straight but am used to topping and LSTing. But if i can cram 9, 3 gallon pots into my 4x4 and have them grow nice straight single colas then id love that. Ive grown blueberry before from a friends crop that hermed a lil. and it grew just like that but with 4 or 5 lower buds all on the same node. like i topped it but the top kept growing straight up and the bottom was topped haha

The genetics I had, she was long and lean, more for a scrog set up. With the right supports I was growing 5 footers, nugz the size of your hand on any branch that was supported. I think if you are height restricted you may want to top or lst to take full advantage of this fine specimen. JAS

i grew blue widow from dinafem little over a year ago from a freebie seed and loved it. 1 of the best strains ive ever grow. on my list of seeds i want to order again. subbed :bigjoint:

These are the 2 Blue Widows about 2 days ago. The first one has been growin good.

bw3.jpgbw2.jpg

The second one got stuck in the shell of its seed so will probably take a day or 2 before it perks up.

Macro shot of the good one.

Its off to a good start. I started an auto skunk from dina fem that i plan to grow in my 150w mini cab and after that either start up some White Widow from dinafem or just take some clones of the BWs and run em. Still debating. haha

Everythings growin along nice and steady. Gettin more leaves every day. Gonna have to top soon.

But the other day, i went into the veg tent and saw mushrooms growing out of the dirt. Ill post a picture one of these days but ive never had/seen/heard of this happening in an indoor grow. I can assume its from the inoculate i use for my promix. I had to substitute a bag of random organic soil from home depot because i only had a half a bag of promix left so maybe it was in that soil or maybe the additional organic shit in it caused the mycorrhizae to react more than usual. I let the mix sit for a few days before i used it because i watered the day i was supposed to transplant so i wanted to wait until the plants were dry. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Either way its weird.

Let me know if anyone has heard of this or seen it happen.

thanks! i can only assume its good. Considering the mycelium helps the roots and produces co2 at the same time.

Ive also heard mushroom compost is good so im thinkin of tossin them in my dirt that still chillin waitin to be used.

Thanks guys! and unfortunately no. I just popped the seeds about a week or so ago so youve got a bit of a wait if youre lookin for the bud porn fix. haha

But when it comes around there will be plenty. :hump:

So the seedlings are coming along slowly but surely.

The one got buried by dirt when it was watered once so it hasnt grown much in the past few days but the other is perkin up and throwin up its second set of true leaves.

So those are the mushrooms growing in my medium.
Im pretty sure theyre not harmful but im not sure if theyre from the new medium i mixed in with my usual promix or if my temps have dropped/raised enough to cause them to fruit? Ive noticed it has been a little more humid than usual so maybe that brought upon the fruiting cycle.

I use a mycorrhizae so im assuming its not bad.
