Looks like a Sciurus vulgaris (red squirrel) rodent. Little bastards made several nests in our trailer over the winter, with a cashe of walnuts in two locations - one behind the breaker/fuse panel. Now our thermostat doesn't work - guessing wires chewed - $400 for new thermostat - must troubleshoot for power first. She is terrified of all rodents and has purchased some peppermint oil and cotton balls to try to keep them away. I have other ideas/plans, but it's a conservation area and if I get caught we'll be evicted. Although prohibited, too many people feed the birds, chipmunks and squirrels - all cute till they wreck your things.Living with cats...View attachment 5464690
She was obviously giving up. I think it´s a gourmet thing...I dig how they just ate the head. It's a powerful message to all the other squirrels, savage. True dominance...
It's only a guess, but they may be back for the rest later. Brains seem to be the best part. I've seen them do that to moles too, but they never eat the body. Cats will usually only eat starlings, grackles and robins once as they're bug/worm eaters. Cats prefer seed eating birds.I dig how they just ate the head. You are what you eat. Don't eat a dump bear - they taste like diapers.
They are protected here too. Endangered by this evil, american Sciurus carolinensisLooks like a Sciurus vulgaris (red squirrel) rodent. Red squirrels are a protected species here. You just gave me an idea of what to do with our six kittens - thnx. Since their parents originated from the trailer park, I can return the favour 3 fold. Genius, eh!![]()
Sound like me mumbling something when I'm pissed, lolAt least it wasn't German!
"The longest officially recognized German word is "Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz", with 63 letters. It translates to "Beef labeling supervision duties delegation law". While no longer in official use due to changes in EU regulations, it's a famous example of German's ability to form long compound words."
