I sold my Jeep because of DC and Atlanta traffic. Clutch in, clutch out, roll 15 feet, clutch in, clutch out roll 10 feet. I just got tired of it. I'd own a manual now that we live out in the boonies.My mustang had a heavy clutch, in nj traffic that was a pain

Before we got the volvo my partner had a Jeep Wrangler with a manual... I hated that car so much!

My rear differential broke 4 times leaving me stranded out in the woods one time before Jeep fixed it right. The thing I really hated about it was getting my windows slashed all the time because I worked in bad areas of Atlanta, Baltimore and DC. It happened so often I just started leaving the windows down so the crack heads would just take the change out of the ashtray and not do hundreds of dollars of damage to grab the .38 cents I had in it.

95 Wrangler in "look at me" red lol. The rear carrier needed to be shimmed as it had too much play from the factory. The two different Jeep dealers I took it to just replaced the assembly each time without stopping to figure out what caused the failure to begin with. Finally got it to a good mechanic and it took him a less than an hour to find the cause. I'll never own a Jeep product again. I've heard transmission horror stories about them too. It's a shame as it was a fun vehicle when it ran right.

That's funny as I've had Dana rear ends in some of my hotrods over the years and they're beefy as hell. Different materials for different markets I'm guessing.

Nope same stuff. Different use. I wouldn't have a 35 in the rear of anything. It's nickname is the turdyfive. Much better options out there.

DANA 60 was the big one in the musclecar era.
also on a shitload of 3/4 ton PU's. 60's, 70's 80's.
I like the mopar 8.75 rear. ratio changes are easy.

Those are the big boys. 44, 8.8, 8.25, 9 all would work great under most rears.

Happy beginning of the week everyone. Last week was awesome. Got invited to spend 5 days in a professional recording studio with rotating performers in and out, doing everything from audio engineering, to videography, to even laying down a few riffs on my cello for them to use. Came home with about 14 gigs of audio and video to mix and edit. It rocked!
Then Sunday night my computer OS drive crashed harder than shares in a company represented by Elon Musk. I've spent the last three days getting the base MacOS installed onto a new hard drive in my Hackintosh and hey now I can come to RIU again. I'm calling that three days Monday.
Now I've got several more days of configuration to do before I can mix and edit again, but at least I can drop in and say "High, dudes."
I've barely had time to sit down and roll a joint, thank the dispensaries for distillate. Also I probably should have flowered my plants at least three weeks ago, time to trim, transplant and train. I'm only about a month behind on everything, the comptuer adding at least a week and a half to the delays.

That's it, I'm calling the doctor today. My ankle has been hurting for a week and not getting bettersome snow tonight into tomorrow. That should be nice.

I suspect my new running shoes. Last Friday was the last time I ran...it was sore that day. Then Saturday I was in pain and have been since. The only thing that was different last week was the sneakers. I didn't trip up or twist it so I don't know wtf is going on.
