That's what's happening!
I hate cleaning backsplashes w/ grout lines. Absolute worst friggin’ task. When we redid the kitchen we kept the same quartz as the counter and carried it up to the backsplash and ran it the full width. It’s not one slab unfortunately, there is a very faint joint, but man is wiping up splatter a breeze now.

Mornin'....

Yes yes you can do it
You betcha. All mine...OK...unless a couple of friends wanna fat chunk. FD is still chuggin' along but it should be ready to tackle by this afternoon.
Gonna be a nice load...

Mid 60's here today and warmer for the next few after that. Slight chances of moisture in the 2 week forecast but I don't ever count on it. My pump for the orchard/wildflower gardens is finally free of ice. Gotta work on the intake a bit and then we'll fire things up. "Rain".

We uncovered the 4' x 4' bed of hardneck garlic we planted last Spring and some are definitely trying to bust through the soil. We also uncovered the 4' x 8' bed of strawberries. Shooting up green leaves...it was definitely time to uncover those as well. The rows in the garden are thawed out. We could plant if it wasn't for those pesky night time lows. (we are 5-10 degrees lower than the forecast lows here at my house) Still in limbo there for another 6 weeks. Ah...Springtime in the Rockies...

Think batman calls all weed he smokes batweed, or does he just have a proprietary strain called batweed?

Good beep, meep. How do?
Alfred handles all that. I've been using my batman voice when I lose shit in the garden. Stoned off my ass, I thought what would batman do. He would say "Alfred, where's my God damn watering cup for fucks sake."

Alfred! Where's my lighter?
Alfred! Did I topdress this week already?
Alfred, order more 4-4-4.

I'm changing my Alexa voice activation from "computer" (Picard style)
To "Alfred" (batman style)

Tune in next week. Same bat time, same bat channel

The crusade continues!!

morning, friends. it's a soggy af day here in southern ohio. it rained most of the day yesterday, and gonna rain all day today...and more tomorrow. thankfully it ends by the weekend and next week is supposed to be high 70's, dry, and warm-ish nights. i'm popping more beans today: 8 bubblegum and 2 chernobyl. the autos in the tent are really looking good; need to get in there and tie some things down and trim, but overall they are very solid girls. the new beans i'm *hoping* to acclimate to being outside amap, starting with those warm days next week. then by 4 wks in, we should be golden wrt to temps outside. in the meantime i'll babysit them and bring them inside if needed. OH and i'm going to mix up the FFHF mix instead of promix, or maybe do 1/2 and 1/2.
i mixed up about 120 gallons of new garden soil on tuesday; peat moss, perlite, homegrown compost, ewc, crab meal, oyster shell flower, and a bunch of other dusty shit that i kept inhaling while mixing. letting it cook for a bit before topping off the two new beds. seed potatoes arrived yesterday so i need to chit them and get them planted soon. the tomatoes are massive but i'm holding off on up-potting them. gonna play with my seeds today and see what else i can start along with the weed. we have about 5 weeks before our *official* last frost date.
as you can see, i'm ready to get some dirt under my nails, haha!

Contacted my daughter to see if my eldest granddaughter wants to make some cash pulling weeds. She is a member of FFA and I figure weed control is part of farming, right? I'm not sure I could get back up off the ground if I did it myself. FFA is taking her on a trip to DC in a couple months so I figure she could use some extra money for the trip also.
Mornin.

Don't put them outdoors until after mothers day, or they bloom, then reveg. Careful bringing them in and out if you have other plants indoors. Good way to bring mites I to your ggrow.good luck out there this year, sounds like a good time!
