I mean, that's exactly how my oven - microwave - hood combo is. I figured the best backsplash would be a matching stainless sheet.
I did however remove all grease before installing the new stainless stove-backsplash-microwave setup though. Not a fan of keeping old grease.

I have one of those I haven't installed since I put the microwave in, it will have to be cut back to fit.

Mornin'.
Another almost 60F day here. Looks like we're drying out...oh boy. It's amazing how fast it happens here.
Yesterday was transplant day. We up-potted 34 pepper plants and about 20 tomatoes. The tomatoes went into 7 gal fabric velcro transplant pots. The peppers went into some 1/2 gallon pots. Everything is rockin' hard. Blooms on a few maters. We'll see how badly we get our ass handed to us space-wise before we can sit them outside in 6 weeks or so. LOL. I tried to tell the wife it was too early but yeah...you "know" if you have one...

1000% happy with those liddle Va-China LED lights we bought. Just sturdy liddle units all around. Definitely made things go crazy...
I'll try to snag a pic or two but I'm not doing shit until I finish this cup and hit this bong

Instead of throwing out your eclipse glasses you can donate them.
I just yelled out "Does anyone want the extra pairs I didn't sneeze on?!" At the lake and my extras disappeared. There were several families with multiple kids and not enough glasses. The 5 packs had next day shipping, but the singles had a deliver date of today, lol

They weren't handing out free ones? I got two pairs at the public library for free. Has my alma mater on them.
The ones at the library and planetarium were gone super fast over here. They definitely did give them out. The 5 packs were only 12.99.
