Does most soapmaking still use lye? I just had my first experience working with it while making my own century eggs. The warnings on the stuff are crazy o_O
Yeah. Lye is some serious shit. I have one of the brute trash cans behind my barn filled with it to strip cast iron cookware. Always a good time when you splash a little bit on yourself and you don't realize it in time to rinse it off. Lol

Reminds me of 35% h202. I used to dose my rezes with it, and a drip or two would sometimes splash onto my hand or wrist. I didn't notice until the burn set in, and by the time I noticed to wash it off, I had a white burn stain there. It can be dangerous for stoners to grow weed ;)
