After a foot of snow, now we got freezing rain here this lovely AM.. Plows, cars and city trucks sliding off the road everywhere. Having some morning bean before I start a little chopping for the Mrs to do while I'm gone. Have to see a dental surgeon today about fixing my fucked up mouth. Dental implants, root canal, the whole deal, I'm terrified...

Hope everyone else is having a good morning!
Good luck! Hope you have some edibles and soup on hand for after.

In my youth I learned to smoke joints through my nose to prevent dry socket ;)

Thanks man. Just getting the x-rays and consultation done today. At least that part is free and painless, the rest not so much. About 4k per tooth and I need at least 3. Insurance doesnt cover this so have to dip into emergency funds..
Yeah...so much for insurance or even dental insurance touching implants/extensive work. I tried hard to get someone to payout when I had my first implant fun (20 years ago) to no avail. 4K is a decent price. I think my last one was more like 6K cus I neded bone graphs and other fun stuff. My guy does have the latest shit though. The 3-D wand/pen is crazy amazing. It allows them to create a 3-D model of your mouth and put back in an exact match of what came out. My doc even makes the teeth in house. Crazy stuff....expensive stuff. But...you want the best. It's a big deal. Good luck.

Dental tourism? Heard good and bad about it, no personal experience though.
Good luck, I hate any dental procedures and BB doesn't use the word "hate" very often :(

To each their own...but I've come to believe....the hard way...that the toofies are pretty important. After having >a few< extensive procedures done (and some smaller work as well) I can't even imagine traveling to foreign destinations and having such work done. >IF< there are complications what do you do then...either there...or back home? I wasn't willing to risk it. YMMV.

If yer scared...asked for some good drugs. Most docs will give ya something...and some docs can give you Demerol in the chair. Just tell em yer freaked and they will treat you well...or should. Get up and walk out if they don't/scoff at you/tell you it's no big deal/etc!

Good luck
