Ready...Set...GROW!
Growth stage: 2 Weeks Veg, flowers starts 9 am tomorrow
Strain: Super Skunk by Nirvana
Medium: DWC, 19 gallon tub
Lighting: 530w of CFL; 10 - 42w & 2 - 55w
Nutrients: Maxi Series Grow & Bloom, KoolBloom, Aquashield and Superthrive (for veg)
DETAILS: pH:6.0, ppm:1000+/-, temp/humi: 74 f, 43%
Well hello to all who may happen to drop in to see the girls. Its been a while since i posted anything on here. This time Ill be rolling with Super Skunk but from a different seed bank and with a new growing method. The tub used is a 19 gallon Steralite that I painted with several layers of black spray paint (Rustoleum Professional). Cut holes for 3 inch net pots and the air lines. Then set it all up like in the pictures with hydroton and 6 clones that were rooted in peat plugs. The air pump that Im using is a Sunleaves Air1 600 GPH pump with 2 - 4in. air disks and 2 - 5in. air disks, and i must say, it performs quite well, covering every root system in tiny, oxygenated bubbles that, judging by the growth, they REALLY love.
The Clones im using were cut from a soil mother plant on march 25th and were in the system by april 7th, all at about 3-4 in. tall with 2 nodes. I chose to skip documenting the 2 week veg cycle, although it was kinda interesting. they are 2 weeks veg, and they were topped at 1 week, giving them a very bushy overall appearance. The Growth has been EXPLOSIVE. I was aware that hydro grew faster than soil but man, they are really thriving.
I will be documenting the flowering stage of growth which will be 9 weeks, so grab a chair and get comfy. When this grow started i had hopes for 3 ounces, not expecting much seeing as this is my first run at DWC. after seeing how they grow, that 3 turned to 6, 1 oz. per plant, more than my previous journal but with less plants. Can I do it?
. So that is my goal, but "the more the merrier". Im expecting a big mass of buds filling up every inch of my 2ft x 2.5ft grow space. The under-schucking process has already begun and i want to be done with that by 2 weeks flower as to not stunt the plants or shock them.
