Black Friday & 3x3 / 2x4 setup

Hi all, after reading around for the past days I'm more or less determined to go for a 2x4 or a 3x3 setup... As I'm a beginner, I don't have an unlimited budget.. but I don't want to end up regretting my decision, made the mistake of hoarding tons of equipment with growing mushroom.. so I'm starting this thread before getting overwhelmed with deals and ending up buying the wrong stuff. I feel gravitated too the Spider Farmer SE3000 + 90x90x180cm Indoor Grow Tent Kits Combo.. . But the inline duct is missing.. so that will cost me around €600 total...But yeah also got a recommendation to look for a 2x4 with a migro array 4 light.. everybody faces this thing where they got offered 10.000 options to choose from only to realise "Wish I would have gone for that instead of this".. so I would like to ask:

- what 'complete combo' (doesn't have to be the same brand tent/light/duct) would you recommend a beginner to pick on black friday (EU) for a 2x4 or a 3x3?

thank you in advance

I'm currently using a 2x4 grow tent and use two California Lighworks SolarXtreme 250s. Total wattage at the plug is 400w. Just harvested and trimming as we speak. All the lights you mention are solid and you seem to have done decent research. I'm not in the market for complete grow setups so I can't say much about what deals are going on right now. You'll be growing some good pot whichever you decide is in your budget really. There's lots of good stuff out there and lots of people have experience with a couple of them but only few that have experience with several light options. I can only speak for what I have and these California Lightworks I've had for a couple years continue to kick ass. They also run deals for holidays and black Friday and it's a significant discount.

I'm in the US so buying supplies may get be a bit easier here. First round I went with a 4x4 and 2 100 watt led boards along with a 315 cmh. Grow was my first for indoor gardening. I ran a 4 inch inline fan with a speed controller hooked to a Can filter.

Downsized my next run to a 2x4 with a 6 inch inline fan and a 330 watt Electric Sky led light. Light is no longer available unless you can find one used. Grow was 3 plants in 5 gallon fabric pots. I stayed as organic as I could. With the setup I ran no more than 275 watts to the light along with the fan plus a couple of clip fans the grow cost about $15 per month to run.
Good luck with the research and happy growing!

Idk what the euro market is but you can get a tent light, circulation fan, 2 in line fans with carbon filter for a lot less then $600USD.

Way cheaper then a spider farmer and damn near the same thing
Cheap 3×3 if link works in your country

That will be good enough and not brake the bank
Personally I'd go with a 2x4 tent. 3x3 tents will not go through a door way where the 2x4 will which can come in handy if have to move the plants mid grow.

The complete lack of off the shelf led fixtures suitable for a 3x3 is another good reason to avoid.
Built one for mine, but that isnt what most folks want to deal with

Thank you for your reply. Yes I think a 2x4 can already yield a year supply of cannabis (just for myself), and I'm also going the organic route indeed.. coots, top dressing and found some nice organic fertiliser from the Netherlands (gia green isn't available here), recycling my soil, starting worm bin for my food scraps, compost tea etc it rings with me

Thank you! Those lights seem really decent, reached out to the company and googled around, but they are way over budget €295 a piece here or €530 for the 500. Will keep an eye on them though..

Used to own a reeftank and made some led growlights on a heatsink for cultivating algae... diy filters.. diy supplements for maintaining saltwater parameters, but indeed now going to avoid the diy route as I end up with way too much "stuff" (e.g. equipment for cutting plexiglass, a whole pharmacy worth of trace elements, stuff for welding plexi and wires). Also went overboard with stuff for mushroom cultivation, but thankfully I can reuse quite a bit for growing cannabis, so I'm going for the keep it simple setup.. need to hold myself back here.. else I'll end up with a 5x5

Mars hydro eBay store currently running tent sales. 76.00 US for 2x4x6. 3x3x6 for 94.00. No idea about shipping to Europe. Delumee has a decent variable speed vent fan/filter combo at around 120.00 US for a 4" and around 150.00 for 6" on Amazon. Replacement filter cartridges are available at reasonable cost. For lighting, hard to beat the Hyperlite gp1600m 150w at 45.00 US on Amazon. Personally I find complete tent combos to be lacking except maybe for higher end packages but that sort of goes against the money saving aspect.

I have been looking into mars hydro a few years back for growing cacti and did again a few days back. But their reputation is the same, so will pass anything from mars. I'll patiently wait for black friday for the spider farmer SF2000 set.. not too expensive.. growing a small amount of cannabis. good to manoeuvre around.. What do people things... Good deal?

Heck.. they even have supplemental UV bars in case I want to increase the power, but I rather first work on myself, become a good grower with the basic stuff and maybe later up the lighting when I have a dozen grows under my belt.
