Bitter taste from BHO

First I want to let you know that I'm fairly new to bho. I'd like to know know if most, of not all bho oil/wax leaves a bitter/sour taste in the back of your throat? I tried a variety of shatter and wax from different sources, most recently some closed looped in line de waxed shatter, and I always get a bitter taste in the back of my throat. Sometimes it's not as pronounced as others but I can always taste it. Could anyone explain what this is? I seem to taste it more in wax than shatter. Could it be something other than residual bho or bho comtaminents? Is this a bad sign? I've smoked some supposably very clean bho's and they all leave that taste. I usually use a vape pen but even when I top a bud with oil/wax I get that taste. I concerned should I be about this?

99% of oil/wax/budder/etc. is butane soup. That's why. People claim to be scientists and chemists and they're nothing even close. I generally won't even touch that crap anymore.

Most of the shatter and wax I've had does taste good, especially when it's very fresh, but I always get a bitter/sour after taste in the back of my throat. Even from several different sources. Maybe I'm just more sensitive to this taste, idk. I'm thinking it might come from the mercapens in the butane. Would they taste bitter/sour? I'm assuming all butane would contain a certain amount of impurities, and as I've seen from tests, all bho oil/wax contains a certain amount of impurities also. Maybe I haven't had any extremely clean product. I know some of the products I've smoked have been very good, highly rated and recommended, and tested.

No sour taste from bubble, kief, pressed, or qwiso. I never got that taste from the old Honey Oil, I think it was made with the Isomerizer machines.

Just remember.. most of it is made by retards blasting korean butane through a fucking turkey baster. Very few are using lab equipment and cls' to do it properly.

Stick to the non-solvent stuff i'd say. You can get it so close anymore there is no reason to waste money on butane and doing it wrong.

iv gotta a weird taste from using iso but tane usually comes out fine. u might have a sensitivity to tane im guessin

Thanks for the replies. I think my taste might be a little more sensitive to tane. If iso isn't purged well it taste really nasty, nothing like the bitter taste I get from bho. I've just been dabbling with some of these solvent concentrates recently, I usually consume kief and pressed hashes. Haven't experimented much with bubble yet. I do love fresh kief though.

Well if you are serious, then any type of solvent will leach out of pvc.. anything not glass or stainless...

Some shitty butanes will leave an aftertaste which is why you gotta use good stuff. Like already said no Korean crap. EU is usually the cleanest.

I'm not making this myself. Some I've had made for me from my trim and some I've bought and some has been given to me. But no, I do not make my own Bho. Although I have made qwiso several times, and lots of kief products. Like I said I'm new to bho concentrates and just wondering about this taste I keep getting.

Butane has a butyl taste. Sort of like what the air out of a butyl rubber intertube smells like.

None of our BHO leaves a bitter taste vaporizing, but they most definitely do when taken orally, which is the reason I added cinnamon candy flavoring oil to Holy Shit sublingual. It is the terpenes, including the diterpene cannabinoids that leave a bitter taste in concentration. They are all aromatic hydrocarbons.
