Biodegradable Pots???

Hi all,

I have a few auto seeds.

My tent is full just now, however in the interest of having a steady grow flow. (one in one out) I am thinking of starting seeds about 1-2 weeks before them going in to final pots.

So I have been thinking, Autos hate being transplanted as this stresses them and due to their short life span they just don't need it. However what if they stay in their starting pot but are also placed into their final pot at the same time.

I am of course referring to "Biodegradable Pots" these can be coir, peat, cardboard or I have even seen paper.

The roots should be able to penetrate these pots as they degrade, however does anyone know if this will be quick enough for the rapid extensive root growth for our favorite girls? :confused:

So has anyone used these, what was your experience?

that's what they are made for . they fall apart roots will take over this cheap paper stuff . could fall apart before it roots . yeah I used them . now I use grow blocks. I swear by them for what your doing . plant it . let it sit in water check it in 3 or 4 days done .

Thanks for the read man, on average how long are you able to have seedlings in these things before having to transplant?

You must be doing something wrong if plants actually get "stressed" enough to show it after transplants.

Auto's aren't anymore apt to stress from transplanting then photo's! It won't "hurt" to transplant them!

Simply start the seeds in Root Riots and when the roots are visible - transplant to final pot size right off!
Use a kelp extract to minimize any "transplant stress" and to increase root growth - faster!
College studies show the use of kelp in extracts and meals turned into soils. Can increase root growth by as much as 170%+
