You get out of this plant what you put in. You can grow it like a houseplant on a window, but don't expect a smoke out of it.
Unless you are growing outside, you will need light of some sort. HID lighting is recommended, but for small grows, CFLs will be sufficient. You also need to provide adequate airflow, to provide the plants with fresh air, and also to remove the heat from your lighting.
The very simplest setup would probably be a box, painted white inside to reflect more light back, a few CFLs, a small fan to vent hot stale air out of the top, and a hole near the bottom, to allow fresh cool air in.
Stick them in some pots with soil, and you're good to go. How much you yield at the end will mainly depend on how much light you give them, and how big you grow them before flowering, which is initiated by switching the light to a strict 12 on 12 off schedule. It should be COMPLETELY dark in the off hours, so make sure your box is lightproof.
