Nice buck - it looks like he'll push the scale !

Do you also collect snow plows?
Knew you'd have a good eye. There was a two year drought which affected it's rack size. It's much bigger than the rack would lead you to believe. Dressed out just under 200. Not far from where you used to live, from what I've gathered.:leaf:

I do lawn care and landscaping, and plow snow in the winter. There are three more next to those.

very nice buck. I did my 30 day archery elk this year. yesterday was the last day. didn't close the deal. got a shoot opening weekend but he jumped the string. it happens. but we had a great time and made great memories. I got the chance to introduce a hunter to the archery world and he loves it. we will forever be hunting buddies. my rifle deer starts next weekend. hope to post some picks. sorry I haven't been on much. lots going on in my life running a pig farm now, my grow and scouting takes up a lot of time. hope you all are successful the hunting season in filling your freezer. and if you don't hunt just enjoy the great outdoors.

the sheriff that caught me shooting a crow from my truck asked me which charge i wanted to go to jail for, he could think of 40 off the top of his head he said...after eating a lotta humble pie while receiving a very abusive tongue lashing he let me go.

A friend and fellow guide received a pic (and forwarded to me) from another guide whom I do not know of a dead bear next to human remains. The bear was dispatched as it was feeding on the body & it left a lot of us wondering about the circumstances.
At least now we know.

Remains of fisherman who disappeared in Chitina River found by hunters

The remains of a 63-year-old man who went missing on the Chitina River were found nearly a week ago by hunters, according to Alaska State Troopers.

According to troopers, on the morning of Sept. 27, a hunting guide reported finding the decomposed remains near the Copper River after the guide's client shot a bear about 25 miles downstream from Chitina, where Kermit Mellon had disappeared more than a month ago.

Mellon went missing Aug. 19 near Chitina after his boat capsized, troopers said. Mellon was reportedly swept downriver while he tended his fish wheel.

When the remains of Mellon were discovered, he was still wearing a life vest and waders.

At the time of Mellon’s disappearance, Alaska State Troopers and Alaska Wildlife Troopers searched the area by boat and helicopter. The search was eventually suspended due to high waters, troopers wrote in an online dispatch Friday.

Mellon’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner Office, where it was positively identified.

Mellon's next of kin have been notified.

Gemsbok. In the US?
Oryx = Gemsbok? IDK we call them Oryx. Some general in the 60's had about 14 of them imported over to White Sands Missile Range. Guess what happened since there were no natural predators? population exploded now there are thousands out there completely un afraid of humans I pretty much backed the truck up to this one before that Texan shot it. paid me $3000 to guide him because I have a range badge and a brother in law who works the oil fields and talks to rich guys that want to shoot exotic stuff. You can put in for a once in a lifetime hunt in New Mexico Ill guide you I wouldn't charge 3k for homies.

I thought that was the missile range in question, thanks for confirming. Few know how important that phase of our rocket history was.
