How to Survive a Bear Attack
How much do you know about bear behavior and avoiding a bear attack? What you know — or don’t know — could determine how likely you are to survive an encounter with a testy bear.
@GreatwhiteNorthDoes anyone here live in wolf country? There's a group in the UK wanting to release wolf's to control the deer population, having experience with wolf's what do think of that idea?
IMHO this is right up there with Grass carp in the Mississippi basin, Lion fish in the Caribbean and Mongoose in Hawaii. Just another chance for humans to really screw up the balance of an ecosystem.@GreatwhiteNorth

Everybody has a plan until they get charged.I'm good for Yellowstone.
Wolves don’t just kill deer. I love wolves as all animals but they definitely can be a problem for pets and livestock and certainly other native wildlife. Predators tend to thrive in good habitat and eventually will need to be controlled themselves. If they do not and really don’t have anything predating on them, it will have to be done by humans. Imo hunting would make much more sense as the deer are the only quarry harmed and they fill your freezer. I much prefer a nice venison roast over a wolf hindDoes anyone here live in wolf country?
