better taste: soil or hydro

a cannabis tasting would be a great learning experience for me too. I have never grown in anything but soil. I'm a gardener. I understand soil biology and would be totally out of my element growing any other way. Shit I would be posting dumb questions in the newbie section if it weren't for that. I got a lot out of the Organics section. It fit right in with what I already knew. Sub's recipe for his soil mix was an inspiration. Since a grow can be an expensive and long process I didnt want to chance losing my investment by trying something I didnt understand well...like they say...if it aint broke, dont fix it. And since my buds were better than anything I bought off the street I was happy. Then I learned how to make kief hash and I was blown away. One hit and I had to sit down. Or fall down. It's been a fun experience and the best part is that I made it all myself. No regrets.

Have to say soil,,Hydro grown usualy smells incredible, more so than soil grown imo, but the taste just isnt as smooth.

I'm starting to think the difference lies between bio nutes or not....

I have never been told this is hydro and this is soil to compare... but I just smoked some shit my friend had and at first I seriously thought it went through the washing machine. Tasted like chemicals all day and sizzled and sparked when you smoked it like gun powder. I like trying to guess the genetics/strain. I am usually pretty good at picking out lowryders... great bag appeal, doesn't get you high, possibly find one or two seeds.

I would love to do an organic soil run, but I need the speed of growth in hydro. Me and my girlfriend smoke a lot of weed and want to make bho and edibles. When you have a single 15amp circuit to work with and a 3x5 tent, only so much you can do.
