Best light for inside tent...

I have a 4x4 grow tent that i purchased from Amazon. I'm being told led lights are not good. Which is the best light to get for a grow tent? I'm growing in soil right now with a T5 light. I thought leds were good but I'm hearing conflicting stories so I'm looking to eventually upgrade i guess.

Dimmer's great because i can veg with the hps too.

The 600, is about perfect for your space. Nothing bigger. It'll be a waste.

^^ that looks good, but... you have t build your own frame= money and time

Additionally, CoBs need more height or they will beam (I know, I have 3)

IMO, larger panel onos like HLG do a much better job of evenly distributing the light over the canopy, which can be important when tent height is low, or when doing flood and drain, as I do, which eats up precious distance between canopy and light source

16 3590's on 2 10" wide x 46" long heatsink. 8 per. 2" fins. Build a coolhood frame and pull air through the fins. 100 cfm on a 4" fan should be fine. 31 watts each cob will be great. I just went back to cobs. ymmv

16 cob for 500w sounds very efficient build

Did you screw your cob on the heatsink? How did you drilled holes?

You should invest in a 600 MH for veg mate it works wonders.

4-40 tap and #43 drill.

The best deal is mh or hps. If you need stealth with low noise....

Are the fixtures much to replace though?
Do the ceramics get hot?
They're pretty new to me.

I think i heard somewhere that ou have to replace the bulbs after a grow, and that their a pretty penny... whats ur thoughts?

70 bucks for a gavitta bulb.

I leave my tent door open because i don't have a ventilation system. Do u think it would get to hot without venting?

Get ventilation regardless.
It'll cost you 100 bucks

If controlling heat isn't a issue and money is tight buy hps.
If heat is hard to maintain and money isn't much of a issue do diy led. I built 700 watts cob lighting for 550 plus another like 60 bucks in building frame

I don't have the ability to install ventilation at this time. Its been okay so far, infact it's on the cool side. My temps now only get to about 71 tops so maybe a little heat would help ya?

Every 8-12 months I'd replace bulb but you can get bulbs pretty cheap depending on the brand you decide to buy.

Sounds like there's a lot of different options. I will try and do some researching. I just was curious what people in the growing community were using.
