Best LEDs ?

First off I am new here so if I've posted in the wrong section or there is a thread on this already I apologize.

So I've been doing some research, looking at review etc. Trying to learn about spectrum and ppfd and I cant seem to come to a conclusion for the best light for the money/job.

I was looking at the Fluence Spydrx Plus as I thought it was a nice light but am unsure and dont want to feel that way before dropping 1500 USD (I'm canadian so it's like 2000cad or so)

What I am looking for:

Tons of light for big yields
I'd like to run co2
A small a/c to keep room at temp

I dont want my room to be cramped that's why I'm going with a 5x5 ot 6.5x6.5 with a light that only does 4x4 flower. Id like to be able to work inside of it walk around it. With that being said will I loose light because my walls are to far from the edge of my 4x4 light coverage as far as wall reflectivity if that makes any sense ?

Take look in the led section for some inspiration .
There's lots of led savvy folks over there to advise you on what lights are suitable.

https://www.bcblondes.com A Canadian growlight Company.
3 year warranty
I use something similar to these but mine are diy.

You can always make some portable walls for reflection to make the grow area smaller.
I've a couple of them I use depending on what size area I need.

Phenolic foam boards, cut to size, some diamond Mylar reflective roll and a roll of Gorrilla tape to stick Mylar to the boards. They're Lightweight and easy to move about to get access to the plants.

I've always been an HID guy but I got out of growing for the last few years. Just starting back up. I got a Mars TS1000 in yesterday, and I'm anxious to see how it does. For the price, it's worth a shot. Worst case scenario it ends up in the veg tent permanently.

thank you all for the replies,

I may build a room out of that insulation foam instead of tent not sure yet but its a cool idea.

That lights Good for a 2.5ft x 2.5ft space.
If you stick to that space you should be fine.

They have been forced to up their game lately but they need to get away from this daft "1000w LED" labelling , a light that pulls 150w is a 150w light.

It's in a 32" x 32". Should be perfect coverage. I'm just running some autos to test it out. No UV at all in the spectrum though, so I might add a little late in flower if I think it's needed. If it works out in this little tent, I may go with 6 of them in the main flower room. Be nice to not have to deal with cooling off so much heat as I'm used to. Agreed on the LED labeling. Not sure who started that trend but almost all of them seem to do it, I guess just to make less knowledgeable buyers equate it to a Super HPS.

This is how I built my CO2 sealed room with the light I linked.

Added wrong pic. I also put my driver for the light outside the room to keep heat down.

Adding the pic showing the light. This was just before a big prune and tuck for flower.

Hey aquaman!

That a nice room. What is considered a "sealed room" I would have thought because that charcoal filter is exhausting through the roof would have made it not sealed compared to just recirculating inside the room but I am new so this is why I ask.

also i've been reading some posts and have seen people talk about not having co2 in non sealed spaces why is that ? they figure it gets sucked out and wasted?

That carbon filter is being used as a scrubber. It's not vented outside if you look to the right of the light you will see the intake of the fan that pulls the air from the grow side to the the filter in the equipment side.

It's not worth running CO2 to increase CO2 levels just to have it pumped out if the grow space with air exchange. All the CO2 is wasted

Also if you are doing a sealed room you must have AC, heater, humidifier and dehumidifier all adequate enough to perform their jobs. For instance my 4 plants are drinking almost 5 gallons of water a day. I can tell you that I pull out almost 5 gallons of water a day from my dehumidifier and a few ounces a day from my ac drain.

Also it's not something that I would recommend running without controllers for everything.

A sealed room is a lot more work, money and equipment. If you are not running a strong enough light to take advantage of higher CO2 then save yourself the headache and a lot of money.

If you are all in then plan everything and don't scimp on equipment.

I was thinking of running a similar AC setup, would that mean the AC would be venting my co2 and it wouldnt be worthwhile ?

I wonder how often my AC would even turn on in a 6x6 or 8x8 room with one LED

Ya i was looking at controller, also i considered my old stuff I have coil thermostat for AC and a crossfire Co2 monitor and I got a substantial burner aswell 8 burner i think which is to big for the room but whatever I have it so its free

Depending on the AC unit type they may or may not exchange air. For dual hose portables and window AC they do not exchange air. They have a hot side and a cold side that are seperate. The cold side will circulate the air in the room and the hot side will circulate outside air to cool it.

Also when looking for equipment like (AC or dehumidifier etc) that you will be using a controller for make sure it has an auto restart after power outage option.

My room is a total of 4x6 and my ac runs for about 1 min every 10 mins. That's because my dehumidifier runs almost constant and produces heat on top of my light

Currently doing side by side grow using Mars TS 1000 White Led and a CLW SS 440 Blurple in the ball and chain's 12x12 sewing room. Keep your plants in the lights "footprint" and you can grow 'em in an Amazon distribution center. Auto Creme de la Chem Kind soil grow.
