The growcraft is definitely the best. The par is the most even with the growcraft. The 650r is also a great light but still have that hot spot in the middle.

New grower looking to set up a 4x4 tent with 4 plants (coco) and was looking into lights ive kinda narrowed it down to 4 of the top lights going around just wanted to have some opinions and advice on what to go with. 1) OPTIC 8 LED 2) OPTIC SLIM 600H 3) CHILLED GROWCRAFT X6 1000W 4) HLG 650R My goals are pretty much like everyone else high yield high potency.

Providing links to each would help

Well, deffinetly not "The" QB, but the same style, flat pcb of mid-powers has been going strong as the drop-ceiling floro replacements since as far back as "15" that i saw remodeling a KFC.
Keep in mind, many lights, models, form factors & ideas come from the street, office & warehouse lighting industry.
It's making these type fixtures most efficient for growing that is the difference.
SK is a high-bay wharehouse housing. Flat pcb mid-powers were designed originally as floro replacements. Troff lighting ect...
Taking those ideas to the next level is what allows many growlight companies to keep it moving. There's only so many ways to deploy the photons.
I do not agree that it is old tech as the tech is in the diodes/driver which is always being updated.
Bar lights & Strips are not old tech just because BML made the Spyder 7 yrs ago.
As long as the design is providing the optimal coverage for its style then it will always be used.
I was referring to the SMD board (all boards actually). Nothing 'Quantum' about that, or anything else HLG does.

Bar lights is where it's at if for no other reason then the spaces between bars allows for humidity to better escape the grow area PLUS the reversal of plant oxygen/CO2 at night.

Also auxiliary lighting IE far red can be dropped in between the bars to enhance trichs

The importance of that space is why I recommend 4 SFs @ 1000s instead of a 4000s

I just got an HLG 600r spec. Been using it for about a month so far and love it. I am having some heat issues with it. It's about halfway on the dimmer and I get temps up to 88 but all my exhaust is 4 inches. I'm sure if I raise it to 6 inches it'll cool off alot better.
