I meant to say the Pro versions. 1500 Pro's are only $85 today and that's a great price.
Of the lights mentioned, HLG has the best customer support and I think the xs1500 pro is best value.

If youre looking at hlgs r spec you should seriously consider going diy with their boards. The hlg300 does not provide the ideal layout for spread in a 4x2, iirc its mostly centre intensity in stead of wide spread.
If youre inquisitive you could even go this way:
Get 1 vipar xs1500 for one half and then DIY with a 2 boards setup for the other side. Check out which side grows the best in your opinion. If you like the diy r-spec better you can just buy another board for 3 total. If the vipar serves you better than go for that. Neither light would lose very much on a second hand basis since both alternatives are really cheap. Do not worry about diy, its piss easy and if you post a thread on diying theres always peeps to help out, now that the diy scene is somewhat smaller us DIYers seem to be like flies on shit on any nee diy thread.

I run three of the newer Mars TS1000 in my 2x4 with great results.
I'm trying to decide between something like the Spider Farmer SE or G4500 or running three of the little Mars Hydro TS1000's. Assuming cost isn't a factor, I'm wondering if one light bar would do it, or if having the ability to raise and lower 3 lights independently might benefit me more for when the canopy isn't EXACTLY even and I can adjust based on height zones.
I'm leaning towards the SE4500 for a 2x4, but was wondering if someone had any thoughts on it. It will be replacing a measly little AC Infinity 200w board, which isn't enough to really BLAST the whole 2x4.

$200 for an 80w light is outrageous; there are much better values widely available.
I did say I wasn't too worried about price. I can get the SE4500 for $377 right now though, and that's making it look tempting. Still weighing if 3 independently adjustable lights would be better than one one, but I'm really leaning towards the SE4500.
Then there's the HLG, are they worth the cost of entry?
P.S. Sorry to hijack someone else's 2x4 LED thread, I had just been asking myself the same question though.

No matter what lights you decide on, you may have to deal with higher temps even with detachable drivers.
Yes, I run their 250W Veg Pro in my 2x4 seedling/clone tent.
Welp. I found an HLG 320 Rspec FR for about the same price after coupon as the SE4500. Now I just need to dive in to some research and make my decision.
The 320 Rspec is the appropriate light for a 2x4, correct? I've replaced everything but my light from my initial run of gear, and it's the thing lacking the most, but I've done no research on lights up to now, only the initial planning on replacing.
Also looking at the HLG 350 Diablo. I may just pull the trigger on this one and call it done.

One HLG 350 Diablo covers vegging in my 4x4 but it would certainly fit and you could run it dimmed. It's a very nice light.

They are new to the market but the Thinkgrow Model One is a viable option for spaces like a 2x4. Each 4ft light bar has its own driver and independent spectrum tuning when pair to a controller. I would think three bars would be more than enough for that area. Thinkgrow Model One
